Rinni's POV
It's been days since the incident and we've already made it back to the surface about a day or two ago. I don't know, my sense of time wasn't and still isn't really the best. In order to make amends for what they did, Mikoto decided to join our party. So right now we're back in the middle floors fighting off monsters.
Once we found a good spot we all decided to take a break and talk. Mikoto tried to apologize again but we just told her it was okay. We made sure to remind her not to do it again if that situation ever occurs once more. We carried on before we all decided to call it a day and head back out. That night Bell, Lili, Welf and I celebrated Welf's ranking up. I took a couple of gulps of my drink after saying cheers to everyone. I placed my cup down and smiled This was really nice... kinda reminds me of Fairy Tail.
"Hey, Rinni something is wrong?" Welf asked
"Huh?" I asked confused
"You've been rubbing your left forearm with a sad smile Lady Rinni" Lili said
"Ah sorry, just remembered something that's all. Don't mind it, we're here to celebrate, remember? And please stop calling me Lady Rinni. Rinni is just fine with me."
"Congratulations on your rank up Welf" Bell said, immediately knowing what I was talking about
"Thanks, buddy"
"Level 2 huh? You know, since you're one of the Hephaestus Familia's best blacksmiths, everything you make will be worth a lot more from now on."
"Well, I'm just relieved this means there's less of a chance I'll tarnish Hephaestus' good name ya know?"
"But sadly, this is the end of our charming little party is it?"
"Like hell. What are you talking about Lili?" I asked
"Well, the whole reason Welf joined us in our journey in the first place was so you can rank up and acquire smithing abilities, right? I guess now that you've done that, this is it then"
"What is the only rank there is, is Level 2? Just because he ranked up doesn't mean he can't keep doing so. We don't stop growing, also, no way in hell is Welf gonna break a contract he made with the Hestia Familia that easily." I argued
"Yeah, so quit looking at me with those sad puppy dog eyes. Do you think I would ditch you guys 'cause I got what I wanted? Count on it kid, I'm staying" he said as he ate
That made us smile before we carried on with our celebration. We began to talk about how it was a waste that Mikoto wasn't with us, seeing that she was a part of the party and all. Then eventually we began to talk about our rankings. Bell and I were quick on leveling up because of our abilities, which Welf complained about at the very least, catching up to Bell only to find him close to ranking up. I laugh a bit at this as I pat his back reassuring him, teasing him that one day he'll get there.
"What's all this talk about Levels 3 and 4? I don't give a fat squat how fast you say you've gotten that high. The fact of the matter is, you're nothing but a big damn liar. You're a scared little bunny boy and puppy girl, running away from monsters and using your friends to rank up? And now you've to piggyback your way to almost levels 3 and 4? If I were that pathetic I'd be too embarrassed to show my face in public" the random guy laugh
"Hey! Is anyone missing a kid here?! I think they're crying for their mommy!" I yelled out loud so the whole bar could hear
