Lauren

When I woke up I was still slightly dizzy. I looked around the strange room I was in.

Where was I? Whose bed was this? What happened last night?

Then, as my gaze fell on the closet, I saw a person. My vision was a little blurry, so I could only make out a topless person.

This worried me. When I fixed the person, I also recognized who it was. I quickly pulled the blanket up to my face in shock. What am I doing in William's bed?

''What did you do,'' I asked him in a trembling voice.

''Lauren please listen to me. It's not what you think,'' he tried to reassure me. The classic. It's not what I think.

''Then what is it? Are you doing what I'm thinking now?", I continued to ask. I was getting ready to fight back.

''Lauren please. I don't want to hurt you ok? I just saved you from someone who wanted it. Let me explain. Please,'' he spoke calmly with his hands up, one of them holding his shirt.

This time I gave him a chance to explain himself but I didn't trust him completely.

''Here you go. Explain yourself.'' I answered still a bit defiant. I was prepared for everything.

''What do you remember from last night? So I know where exactly to start,'' he asked.

"Um. I remember dancing with some guy. Then we kind of talked and then I got dizzy. He wanted to go outside with me, but then I passed out outside. And then I woke up here.'' My voice was shaking. I was afraid of what was coming now.

William slowly approached me as if I were a timid animal. ''May I sit next to you?'' I slid a little to the side on the bed to make room for him. Something told me that I could trust him right now.

''After you passed out, the guy took you to his car and drove off with you. Me and a friend of mine saw it and chased him. Then at some point when he stopped on a country road because he was aware of us, I got out and had a fight with him. That distracted him and Joe was able to get you out of his car and into ours. And then I brought you here,'' he explained.

So he really helped me. ''Did he do anything to me?" I asked anxiously as I nervously fiddled with my fingers. It was actually more of a shaking than a voluntary movement. That was also the moment I realized I was wearing a baby blue hoodie that wasn't mine.
