''Now tell me, what exactly is going on between you and Joe now? I mean you live in the same city now and you even go to the same university,'' I asked excitedly as we were on our way to the lecture hall.
''We talked last night. You can now say we are officially together.'' she replied and the pride in her eyes was impossible to miss. Immediately a huge smile came over my face.
''Oh my God Vee I am so happy for you!", I replied overjoyed and we hugged each other tightly.
''Please tell me everything is settled between you and William again.'' She looked at me hopefully and we hugged again as I nodded to her. ''We talked to each other about everything yesterday as well. You were right with your assumption,'' I said while still hugging her.
''Now let's go inside because we're going to be late.'' I pulled her with me to the auditorium and we entered the room. There we saw Serena whom we had met yesterday and who saved two seats for us.
We greeted her and sat down with her. ''Hey where were you guys last night?" she asked curiously. We had told her we were coming to the party, so of course she was surprised when she didn't find us.
"We were there for the first 30 minutes, but then something came up and we had to leave," Vanessa answered quickly when she saw me looking at the table caught off guard.
Fortunately nothing bad had happened yesterday, but if William and Joe hadn't been in the right place at the right time, then God knows what could have happened. And that thought scared me.
What do you do when you're alone? I was unconscious. He could have done anything to me and there was nothing I could do about it.
I can't believe I trusted that creep at first. But on the other hand, he didn't act bad. He had managed to make me feel like he wanted to help me.
''Lauren is everything okay?", Vanessa asked worriedly, shaking me lightly by the shoulder. I just nodded and took a deep breath.
Up front, some time later, the lecture began. It was dominated by philosophy and sociology. It was the first module in the first semester on the basics of law.
I tried to take some notes to be able to study from them later. Vanessa and Serena did the same.
As the first lecture came to an end I felt a bit of a headache. I was already tired today and the first 2 hours seemed like an eternity. But I still had 2 similar ones right after.
