''Ocean blue eyes, looking in mine. I feel like I might sink and drown and die...'' Me and Vanessa jammed to 'Gorgeous' by Taylor Swift.

She's always been our favorite artist. I couldn't imagine our long road trips without her.

Especially that line made me think of William and I grinned a little. Silly me.

We were now already 2 hours on the road and had covered about half the distance home. The landscape was completely covered with snow.

White Christmas. For me there was almost nothing more beautiful.

The first hour and a half I slept because I was still tired from yesterday. But now I felt better rested and was happy to see my family again since months.

After 'Gorgeous' was over our playlist played '18' by One Direction.

''This song fits very well right now, don't you think? Especially for you because of Joe,'' I asked Vanessa and she chuckled.

''Who knows, maybe it will fit you and William soon? I think it would be perfect for you if you get involved with each other,'' she said and I agreed with a shrug.

''Maybe,'' I said, letting the song sink in while I looked out the window with a big smile.

''Hey, we're back!", I said as I unlocked the door to my parents' house.

''Hey!'' My parents came running toward us with Vanessa's parents behind them.

I hugged them after I greeted my parents.

''Hey Christine. Hey Lenard.", I greeted Vanessa's parents.

''So how have you guys been?" my dad asked as my mom came out of the kitchen with orange juice.

''Pretty good. Everything is going well so far even though we've only had lectures for 2 weeks,'' I answered and Vanessa nodded in agreement.

''I think it will be a good semester,'' she added.

''Sounds good,'' said Lenard, Vanessa's father, and everyone nodded in agreement.

''How's Joe?" asked Chritine, Vanessa's mother.

Vanessa put down the glass she had just taken a sip from. ''He's doing great. He's on his way home to his family right now. Quite a long way. He has to drive at least six hours,'' she said and her eyes widened at the last 2 sentences.
