~*~Chapter 16~Things Left~*~
It was cute, at first, but they haven’t separated since, I don't even know when. I'm surprised Azael and Ronnie are even still alive. By saying they haven separated I mean their mouths.
Minor and I gave them a good half hour before coming back to them. When we got back, there they sat making out on the couch. We made comments like they always did for us but they didn't acknowledge anything we spouted out of our mouths.
Ignoring them was our next level as we put on a movie, the movie that they never parted to watch. The ending credits were beginning to role and they pulled apart just as I came back into the room, there was no way I was staying in the room. Their breathing was beyond hard as they gazed at each other.
All I could do is say, “wow,” while Minor laughed silently.
Azael glanced over at me and smirked, “Wow, is right.”
Ronnie was blushing like a mad man as she stayed in place straddling Azael.
Minor stood up and walked to the back of the couch our friends were sitting on. He knuckle bumped Azael . “Good goin' man.”
Azael chuckled as Minor walked out of the room. I shook my head before following suit. Right before I walked out the door I stopped but didn't turn around. Instead I turned my head slightly and shouted over my shoulder. “Next time you should go get a room. I don't want the process of mini yous going down in the living room.”
Ronnie buried her burning face into a laughing Azael. “We'll keep that in mind.” I scoffed as I marched out of MY living room.
I walked into the kitchen mumbling to myself about not being able to spend time in my living room with out the unrated live side movie. I never looked up from the floor I was glaring at as I made my way to the freezer for some of my cookie dough ice cream. I hit into a damn brick wall before reaching my goal location.
My glare shifted to the converse that were attached to the brick wall. I reached up and rubbed my throbbing nose and began to mumble again.
“The damn brick wall broke my nose. I knew I should've knocked the wall down. Why didn't I? If I did I could take those shoes off of it, I do like converse. It shouldn't be too hard to knock it out. I'd like to know why dad built it with shoes. That is something weird to do.” Suddenly I felt something touch my chin and lift my head. “Oh, shit, the wall has a face and arms.”
The eyes looked at me with concern and confusion. “What are you talking about,Jez? Are you okay?”
The walls deep voice sent shivers down my spine as it's touch sent little tingly vibrations though my face. Am I okay? My nose still hurts. “Wall, why did I come in here again?”
“Angel, stop calling me wall. Are you okay?” Fear started to show through his eyes.
“Why can't I call you what you felt like, sir?” I laughed as I realized angel is a funny name to call a demon.
“What are you laughing at, Jez?” confusion filled his eyes. What's with all the emotions.
“You called me angel. That's a weird name for a demon.”
He didn't reply other that whispering and, “oh, shit,” under his breath.
He lifted me and took off in a sprint out of the room and down a long hallway. He knocked on a big fancy double door before busting in, not waiting for a reply.
“Paymon, I really sorry for interrupting your meeting but we have a problem.”
The man beside the desk stood up immediately and looked kind of scared. “What's wrong, son?”
The guy holding me was his son? That didn't feel right. Shrugging I turned my head towards the boy holding me. “Wall, can you please put me down?”
He gave a curt nod and put my feet on the ground, but his arms never left me.
“Minor, what's wrong?” the walls father asked.
I looked at him. “Well Paymon, sir, he seems to be a little wacko if you ask me. First he blocks me path then steals me away from my bedroom and brings me here.”
The wall, Minor, starts to shake but doesn't let it show in his voice. “We were in the kitchen, sir, not her bedroom. She hasn't the slightest who I am, and I'm guessing the same goes for you.”
“Jezebeth, are you okay?” Paymon looked at me with a weary expression.
“I feel great. It's just, I feel kind of lost. Like I don't know any of you or even where I am exactly. Oh, and my nose still hurts a little from running into the wall that is clinging to me.”
But just as I said those words everything went black.
When I say everything went black I meant my vision. I heard and felt everything. I was still standing on my own two feet with no effort but I couldn't see. My breathing became heavy as my fear began to grow. “I-I can't see anything. Why can't I see anything?” I let myself drop to my knees as I gripped my head.
I was to panicked to focus on what anyone in the room was saying. Slowly a burn started to form in my chest. My memory of everyone started to come back to me but my vision remained black. My panic began to ease even with out the return of pictures. My hearing wiped free from me and my vision soon replaced it.
I knew then that I was getting all of my powers, and I knew that they were strong and plentiful. The mind blank was me gaining photographic memory and the blindness was me receiving night vision. All my life I had been reading up on what the effects of each power. A grin spread across my face as I realized what was happening. My head began to throb and my hearing returned giving me incredible hearing. Hearing that was so amazing I could hear the neighbors forks clank on their plates as they discussed possible vacations. The throbbing of my head warped into a tingling sensation.
I used my newest power to make my dads stapler float in the air. My whole body began to tingle before throbbing. I looked at one of the muscular men before me and read his mind before making myself invisible.
Everyone in the room was gaping at the space that I fill but to them it is empty. My father and Minor begin to grin realizing I've gained quite the amount of powers and am more the alright. I made myself visible once more as the pain in my body faded.
I smirked at the man whose mind I read before and turned to my father. I'd gained quite a bit. I walked up to my dad and gave him a giant hug. “I have so much to me, daddy, so much.” He grinned back before letting me go.
Minor embraced me, lifted me off the ground, and spin me in circles as we both laughed. I'm finally a full blooded demon.
Let all the fun increase.
