~*~Chapter 12~Only You~*~
I was on the ground gasping for air. I was silent while others around me were shouting and screaming. Only one man was paying attention to me, the girl on the ground, and he just so happened to be scowling at me. I started to get air back into my lungs and pulled myself up off the ground only to smirk at the man before me.
“It’s really not that funny, Jezebeth,” he more or less growled making me laugh once again.
“Oh come on, Kobal, you’re a freakin demon of hilarity I know you want to laugh.”
He finally dropped his act and laughed at his pure stupidity. As it turns out, I don’t have to fix my idiot best friend’s car. You see the idiot forgot about the key component, petrol oil. Yeah, that’s right, he ran out of gas.
The race ended about fifteen minutes ago and I’m still laughing. I can’t help it. Before the race, when we were collecting their dues, he was talking up how bad he was going to cream them. To add in my own little bonus Minor now owes me $150 since he bet me Kobal would win. Minor is off getting gas for Kobal’s Camaro while the bike races have started up maybe twelve minutes ago.
The bike races are where the true adrenalin starts. Sure the car races get your adrenalin pumping too but racing on a two wheeled bike with no protection is risky but satisfactory.
When it came to my turn to race I was jumping up and down. I passed over my money to Azael and greeted the four other racers. They all were smirking at me I’m guessing because I’m a girl. My eyes started to turn orange as they made smartass remarks about how females shouldn’t be racing bikes only because we will make ourselves look bad.
Azael is cracking up as we all head over to our bikes that are lined up on start. I slip my helmet on as I get on the bike. “You guys are going to be making yourselves took like stupid asses.”
“Whatever you say baby girl,” the boy who was around my age spoke. I started up my bike to drown out their laughing. Wait and see big boy, wait and see.
A minute and thirty seconds later I’m sitting on my bike helmet in my lap as Azael comes up and hands me my prize money.
I hoped off the bike and marched over to Minor who is talking to the prick from the beginning of the race. I hoist myself up wrapping my legs around Minors waist as I wrap my arms around his neck. He helped hold me up by gripping my right thigh with his left and placing his right hand on my ass. I acted as though I was going to kiss him but right as our lips are about to touch I stop. “Where’s my money you owe me?”
He laughs, “At the house under your pillow where the tooth fairy left it.” I slapped in the head before closing the gap between our lips. What I had intended to be a simple kiss turned into one of possession.
When we finally pulled apart from our not so innocent PDA I leaned my forehead against his. “What was that for?”
Minor glanced over to his right to the guy he was talking to before I had interrupted them. The guy was scratching the back of his neck trying to hide his embarrassment but his tinged pink cheeks said it all. “Awwe, are you blushing? That’s too cute!” Minor growled when I called the other guy cute making me turn back to him. I leaned in towards his ear as he still held me up but I was now pushed up against his truck. I nibbled on his earlobe before whispering, “Don’t worry, baby, you’re the only one I want.”
He kissed my neck, whispering back a reply. “Angel, you’re driving me crazy.”
I pulled away and tapped his chest, “Good, now put me down.”
He leaned in and kissed me once again but a lot less intense.
He pulled away and eased me down to the ground. He spun us so he was leaning against the truck and I was leaning into his chest. He buried his head in my neck as I laughed. “At least I know I can make you happy.”
