~*~Chapter 19~Smile and Wink~*~

Going home was relieving. With all the new stuff we tumbled upon I was slowly losing my sanity. I seriously needed to hit the arena.

Most people would probably unpack maybe relax a little, but I'm not most people. The very moment the car stopped outside of out house I took off to the garage. A slow smile spread across my face as I pulled the cover off of my black 67 mustang. I ran my fingers along the two white stripes on the hood.

"Oh, my baby, I've missed you." I practically hugged my car. "It's been too long."

"Awwe, don't worry, Jez, I missed you too!"

I whipped my head around to the voice cracking my neck.

In that doorway stood the man that made my heart race. The need to feel free fled as soon as his voice reached my ears.

"I thought you were helping Azael train a kid in Georgia?" I questioned sounding breathless.

"You actually think I'd be any sort of help to him if I was in dire need to see my girl?" A smile broke out on his lips. I couldn't help but run to him.

I jumped up wrapping my legs around his torso as I buried my head in his neck. "I missed you so much." He shivered at my whispered words on his neck making me smile.

"I missed you too, baby." He lifted my head with the hand that wasn't supporting me and kissed me with so much passion. He just may very well be my kryptonite.

I never actually made it to the arena with my car. It was so unbelievably muddy there was no way I'd ever take it out there.

So, for the past hour we'd been in the place called 'The Dustbowl.' The name is pretty self explanatory. When it hasn't rained in about a week the land is nothing but dirt. It's the best place to go missing though when it rains. Minor apparently doesn't feel as affectionate towards his truck as I do towards my car and bike. No complaints, though, it was a freaking blast!

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate cleaning? Well, I do so very much, but my damn demon boy had conned me into washing his truck with him.

How it took me so long to realize his true intentions is beyond me. Once he started to spray the truck with the hose and it 'accidentally' sprayed me realization had dawned. I stood there looking down at my, now soaked, white t-shirt before smiling evilly at Minor.

"Oh, it's on like donkey kong, boy!" Before he could realize it I made the bucket float above his head before dumping the soapy contents on him.

He looked at me with a pouty face before dropping the hose to the ground. "That was cruel, Jezebeth. I think I could really use a hug."

I shook my head and turned around, "nuhuh soapy boy, you have a muddy truck to get clean."

I glanced over my shoulder to see him walking towards me. I took off running knowing he wouldn't give up on the damn hug idea. I ran as fast as my legs would take me to my bathroom where I could lock the door and get a warm shower.

I'd locked it right when Minor reached the door. I simply ignored his knocking and walked over to the shower and turning the hot water on. I began to strip out of my jeans when the door flew open.

"I didn't get my hug." Minor stood there with a pout still prominent on his face.

"How..." I didn't even have to finish asking when he held up his lock pick. "I want to get a shower Minor."
