~*~Chapter 6~Easy Now~*~

We made our way into the house but split the second we made it through the door.

Ronnie and I headed off towards Oson's office, or Mr.Takes office. When we reached the double mahogany doors on the second floor I stepped forward and knocked twice. I heard the door click before it was opened to reveal my father with Oson sitting behind his giant, dark wood desk.

"Jezzie, what are you doing here?" there was obvious confusion flowing through my father’s deep voice.

"I need to talk to Mr.Takes on what I believe to be a very serious matter involving his daughter."

He stepped aside not replying, but he didn't have to. He knew by my posture and tone meant that I was in no way joking.

I stepped onto the threshold mustering up my confidence before fully stepping into the office. There was another guy there whose identity I was unknown to me. I just ignored the others and focused my attention upon Mr. Takes.

"Mr. Takes..." I started but was cut off.

"Please call me Oson, I feel like I've told you this a million times, Jezebeth."

"Sorry, Oson, I have reason to believe that Natalie is going to be in dire need of protection. Luckily I was there otherwise I'm sure she would be here.”

"Jez, what are you getting at?" My father cut in.

I held up my finger and continued,"Moments after school let out there was a visitor. I called for backup but luckily none was needed. Gray showed up at the school. If I had to guess, he's after Natalie so he can train one of his new Fallen Angels, Ellery. I know Natalie has had her training but she isn't strong enough to fight Gray off. If I have to I will take it upon myself to guard her."

Oson looked off into the distance before turning his full attention to me. "That is greatly appreciated but not necessary. Ronnie, starting tomorrow, is going to be switching back to a school closer to home. She can do it since she wants more cash. I can pay her to be her sisters bodyguard. Jez, can you go get my girls for me?"

"Wait, Jezebeth, how did you know that there is a new Fallen?" My father asked.

"Yesterday, Kobal, Minor, and I ran into them. They pretty much harassed us then attacked us. The girl, she tried tackling me but the girl knew very little. Hell, I doubt she knows how to make her wings invisible yet."

He shook his head confirming he understood before I turned and walked out. I found Ronnie in the kitchen and notified her that her father wanted to see her along with her sister. I stayed behind with Mary in the living room.

"Why didn't you tell me about trying out for the squad or even that you made it?" I asked. It hurt to know that she would keep things from me. I had this nagging in my head that I kept the  biggest secret of all from  her. I pushed it away knowing that it was for her own good she didn't know.

"Because I crave your approval, Jez, and you hate cheerleaders." Her emphasis on the word 'hate' brought a smile to my face. I was thankful she didn't see since she was staring at the floor.

I gripped her chin and lifted her head forcing her to look at me. "No, I hate their snobby personalities, not what they do. And you," I poked her in the ribs making her laugh, "You, little sister have an amazing heart and personality. I am more than ecstatic for your accomplishment. Now, do you want to stay here or go home?"

"Umm, I'd like to stay here. Mom has been getting on my nerves since I got home yesterday. She keeps going on about the squad and about inviting them over for a sleepover."
