We were talking when I suddenly heard Jimin's voice outside my room.
"What are you doing here? " He asked someone.
"Sik, hold on for a while " And with that I marched towards the door to open it.
"What are you two doing here? Do you need something? " That's the first thing I asked after when I saw a wide eyed jungkook and a confused Jimin standing right outside my room.
"I came here cuz Joon hyung was calling you, he wanted to discuss about you and Hyunjin, I think he's gonna decide who's gonna be the mid player today" Jimin said with a shrug. I looked at Jungkook expecting an answer since he doesn't really come into my room, "I- uh I wanted to t-talk to you about the something important related to the last match we played " Jungkook seemed hesitant while saying that and Jimin rolled his eyes at him and mouthed me "he's lying".
" Oh? Tae is that Jungkook? " and then I realized Sik was still on the line, I didn't hang up on him. "Shut up, I'll call you later. " And with that I hung up to save me from embarrassment. "You two go to the meeting room, lemme just put on my sweater-" "Go grab your sweater I'm waiting outside and jimin go down" Ofc jungkook said that and i don't know why my mind wondered off to what Sik said earlier, maybe I do like him? But it's wrong, I should not like him in that way.....I promised myself that I won't fall in love until I feel strong enough to deal with them, to deal with heartbreaks cuz I believe at one point people are tend to leave each other and I don't think I'll ever be ready to say goodbye to someone I love more than myself......No no fuck I'm just thinking too much, probably it's just infatuation, yes that has to be it.
"How long do you need to put on a sweater? Did you fall asleep or what? " Jungkook yelled out loud. "Oh for fucks sake stop yelling and who told you to wait for me, you could've go down" I said with an eye roll and rushed outside my room in a hurry. "Hey, why aren't you wearing any socks or slippers? Do you plan on catching a cold? The Asian tournament is starting within a month and we're going to have a hectic schedule in the upcoming months so if you fall sick Hyunjin will take your spot, do you want that? " He said in a serious tone. "Oh FUCK NO" and i went inside my room to wear my slippers.
Third Person's POV
"Ok, so Tae's index says he's at 0.931 and Hyunjin's says he's at 0.897 which means Tae has developed the most in these weeks so our mid player is Taehyung and our substitute player is Hyunjin" Namjoon declared and turned off the screen projector.
"Congratulations TaeTae, you did it" Hoseok excitedly said ang Tae thanked him with a polite smile.
"You did good, kid" "Congrats" "Well done Taehyung" "I'm sure you'll improve more, but I'm really proud of you"
Yoongi, jimin, jin and Joon congratulated Taehyung individually but Tae was feeling bad bcz he knew how much Hyunjin wanted to prove himself.
"Yah, idiot you did good, you almost reached my score so stop sulking" Taehyung said and tried to make Hyunjin smile and he did succeed in doing so. "Nah, for now I'm happy since my development index is more than what it was before so I'm happy with my performance since I did improve " Hyunjin said, and he actually meant it cuz even though he wanted to prove himself to others, his top priority was to improve his gaming skills, he, wanted to be a better version of himself.
"Hyun, I'm proud of you" Jungkook said and went out of the room. "What happened to him? " Tae asked, obviously confused by Kook's behavior. "This is the first time he told me that he's proud of me " Hyunjin said, still processing that his elder brother finally said that. Tae chuckled and left the room.
Namjoon came back in the meeting room, only to find Hyunjin replaying few of Taehyung's matches. Joon smiled to himself and went towards his baby. "Hey, go rest or you'll fall sick" He said softly. Hyunjin flinched slightly but relaxed when he saw Joon. "Oh, I didn't notice the time" Hyunjin muttered to himself. He shut down his laptop and was going towards his room when he suddenly asked Joon "hyung, do you think I improved?" and Joon immediately smiled at him "ofcourse you did, you're so good now. I can't explain how proud I am." "But I'm not as good as Tae right?" Hyunjin looked so small while asking that. "There's no comparison between you two. He's Tae and you're Hyunjin, why are you comparing him with yourself, you two are completely different." Joon comforted Hyunjin. "You know I like him." Hyunjin suddenly said and Joon knew exactly what he meant by that, he smiled. "You're not subtle Hyun, I know you like him but-" "I know hyung I know, he will probably never be mine but still I like him" Hyunjin confessed.
"Oh my baby, try to get him if you really like him, don't give up without trying" Joon said.
"You know right, I can never win when I'm fighting against my own brother." and with that Hyunjin left.
