Chapter 71

Third Person's POV

The team was now at the Arena. AMOSX just finished their match and they did win this match as well.
Taehyung, Namjoon and Jin were in the green room which was assigned to their team, even Taehyung's father was also present there, since he had a VIP access because of Taehyung.
All four of them were completely into the game. LEX was definitely a strong team. At first, it looked like they knew every move of AMOSX, from jungling to attacking, everything. LEX did end up winning the first round.
When Jungkook entered into the green room after their first round, he looked quite stressed, as if trying to figure out how exactly he can turn this into his favour.
Taehyung understood the dilema and approached him.
"You know, LEX knows all our team's moves, so try a different technique. I watched few of their practice matches and well most of the time they just focus on the mid laner and the bottom lane player. So, I suggest you, you waste their DI while Jungling. Of course they expect you to attack them rather than jungling right? But ask Jimin to attack them and ask Hyunjin and Yoongi hyung to increase the DI for the group, if anyone attacks Hyunjin, Yoongi Hyung will be there for support and also aks Hobi hyung to help you with your DI. This will help." Taehyung explained the whole thing.
He has observed the whole match and also in those previous matches that LEX only goes after the AD and the mid laner, they hardly even goes in Jimin's and Yoongi's lane.
Jungkook sighed a breathe of relief and all he wanted to do was kiss his lover, which wasn't possible as everyone was present in the room.
So, he just settled with muttering "Thank you" and "I love you."

The technique Taehyung suggested indeed worked and lead them to victory. The team couldn't be more happy, they decided to go for lunch together and Taehyung's Dad insisted on paying, so it was basically his treat.

Now, Mr. Kim and Jungkook were standing outside the restaurant they came in for a lunch. Others members were outside and Taehyung's Dad has sent him to the CVS across the street to get some things for him.

"You wanted to talk to me, Mr. Kim?" Jungkook asked, suddenly sounding a bit hesitant.
"Yeah...don't worry, it's nothing bad. You don't need to be so stiff, shill out man." Mr. Kim chuckled out when he noticed the other's stiff posture.
"I just wanted to ask you about my son."
Jungkook looked confused at that. What would he want to ask about Taehyung?
"Taehyung is doing great actually and I'm sure those matches says it all. He's really hard working and dedicated to his work but sometimes he just overworks and worries too much-" Jungkook was talking about Taehyung when he was cut off by Mr. Kim.
"I wasn't going to ask about his professional life. I wanted to talk about how you feel about my son. Do you like him?" Mr. Kim asked, sounding much more serious than before.
"No, I don't. I love him, Mr. Kim." Jungkook replied confidently.
Mr. Kim tried to hide his amused smile and asked further.
"Since when?"
"I first saw him in middle school, fell for him when I was in tenth standard and he was in high school."
"What? Seriously?" Mr. Kim sounded quite shocked, not expecting this answer at all.
"Yeah..."
"Dad! They don't have the beer you wanted and they didn't have mom's favorite crisps as well." Taehyung yelled out as he ran across the street.
He handed over the plastic bag to his Dad as he panted heavily.
Jungkook immediately got inside the restaurant and returned with a bottle of water.
"Here, drink this. Don't run across the street like that!" Jungkook scolded his lover lightly as he handed over the bottle to him.
"Sorry" Taehyung mumbled sheepishly before chugging down the water.

"Alright, thank you Tae for getting these for me. I'll leave now yeah? I've an important surgery at night and if I don't leave now, I won't be able to be there at time. Take care of yourself and don't act like a brat, okay? I'll visit you soon, Tae." Mr. Kim said as he looked at his son endearingly, already knowing how the younger must be feeling at this moment.
Taehyung didn't say anything though, he just pulled his Dad in a warm embrace, trying his best to not let his emotions take over.
"I'll miss you." That's all he said before pulling away.
"I'll miss my brat too. Don't worry, you have someone to take care of you now, my absence won't affect much this time." Mr. Kim joked.
"Dad! Never say that! Just say you don't want to spend time with me and go." Taehyung teased back.
"Idiot! Come here, or I won't be able to leave in peace." With that he pulled his son in one last hug.

"Jungkook" Mr. Kim called out for Jungkook, who was looking at the duo with a soft smile.
"Take care of yourself as well, be safe. I'm sorry I couldn't greet them before going since I really need to leave." Mr. Kim said before embracing him in a hug as well.
"Take care of my heart for me, please." Mr. Kim whispered in his ears as he pulled away from the hug.
Jungkook returned a reassuring smile.
"Have a safe journey, sir."
With a final nod and a kiss on his son's forehead, Mr. Kim bid his farewell.
Taehyung just sighed out and went near Jungkook.
"Can you hold me for a second?" Taehyung asked Jungkook in a hushed voice, as if afraid of getting rejected.
"Ofcourse, hyung! Let's go to the van, you can even sleep if you want. I can see you look tired." Jungkook said as he walked upto the van with Taehyung by his side.
"It's just migraine..." Taehyung mumbled out.
"Why didn't you say something before?" Jungkook frowned as he locked the van from inside.
"Dad was there, didn't want to worry him." Taehyung said as he sat across Jungkook's lap, leaning a bit to rest his forehead on Jungkook's neck.
Jungkook sighed out at the other's ignorance towards his health and decided to talk to him about this later. For now, he wanted his lover to just rest for a while.

So, I published the next chapter as well cuz I felt I'm dragging this ff a bit too much. As much as I don't want to end this, I really have to. It's been a year I published this and there has been so many writer's block but I continued cuz I genuinely wanted to and I still do not want to end this soon.
Since, this is a social media as well as written ff, I'll try to finish it within 100 chapters, and the updates will be faster after 15th. Hope y'all are enjoying this.
