Chapter 70

Third Person's POV

Taehyung entered into the base around 12 am, the lights were already turned off, only a dim light coming from one of the computers.
Taehyung quickly went to his room without looking at anything else since he needed to apply salt water over his piercing as it was starting to sting a bit.
Taehyung took a shower and just threw his oversized grey hoodie on, which reached till his lower thigh, covering everything perfectly.
Taehyung assumed no one would be awake at this hour so he didn't bother wearing anything underneath the hoodie and just grabbed a small blanket to cover his legs while he sits on the chair.

When Taehyung walked downstairs, he noticed Jungkook's computer was still on, but no one was there. He frowned at that and walked upto his chair and took a seat.
He looked over the other's computer and noticed the screen was displaying that Jungkook's team won a match against the red team.
Taehyung assumed the other must have went to his room and Taehyung decided to shut down his computer.
He was about to click on shutdown when a familiar deep voice startled him. Taehyung flinched a bit as his other hand clutched onto the blanket covering his legs.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you..." Jungkook said with wide eyes as he saw how badly Taehyung flinched.
"No, it's alright. I just....didn't expect anyone to be awake since y'all have a match tomorrow." Taehyung mumbled out as he leaned back on his chair.
"I....I was waiting for y-you." Jungkook said with shaky voice as he placed the cup of hot chocolate in front of Taehyung.
Taehyung looked at the cup and back at Jungkook who was nibbling with his lip ring, he could tell the other was nervous.
Taehyung smiled softly at him as he picked up the cup and took a sip, sighing in relief at the divine taste of the hot liquid.
"You were?" Taehyung asked back with that same smile, his upper lips stained with the hot chocolate.
"Yeah...I wanted to talk to you." Jungkook said again as he looked up at Taehyung only to see the other was just softly gazing at him.
"I'm sorry if I'm bothering you too much and I understand if you don't want to talk to me, you don't have to talk to me because I wa-"
"Jungkook, let's talk. I wanted to talk to you as well. I realized maybe I was being childish as well, shouldn't have given you cold shoulder for so long, especially when I know how sorry you are." Taehyung said with a chuckle.
"No, no, you were not being childish at all, you had all the rights to be angry at me and I know I was at wrong for being so rude to you and I am so sorry for those words, love. I was really worried about you after seeing those harsh comments about you all over the internet, people were saying shits about you and they even questioned your character, I was so angry that a simple thing like that turned into such a mess just because someone published a fake perspected video. I know me being angry at the situation doesn't justify my words at all, I promise I'm trying to be calm and composed, I know even though you were reckless at that moment you still didn't deserve any of those harsh words. I admire and love you for your mature side and childish side both Taehyung, I never meant to call you immature, I know you are no where near that, I am so sorry for my words an-"
"Now, shush." Taehyung's index finger was placed right on top of his lips to stop him from blabbering.
Jungkook looked at his lover again with wide eyes and Taehyung had to bit his inner cheeks to not let out an endeared chuckle at those doe eyes.
"I know, baby, I know you are sorry and I forgive you. I forgave you long ago, just wanted to make sure you don't react in that way again. Jungkook, I, myself am really sorry for behaving so so recklessly that day, I just- I couldn't handle the sight of her harassing you so I just lashed out at her and I promise to never act recklessly again." Taehyung said out with sincerity. He knows he's at wrong too and he'll never back out from apologizing for something he knows is wrong.
"And I promise to not let my anger get the best of me too." Jungkook smiled at him which the other returned.
"Uh umm....I-I uh..." Taehyung quirked his brow at the other amusingly, already having an idea of what the other is trying to say.
"If you're done being hesitant, will you kiss me now?" Being the confident person he is, Taehyung said out with a chuckle.
Jungkook's ears turned red as he heard Taehyung's deep chuckle. He immediately leaned forward and captured Taehyung's lips in between his own, tasting the chocolate smeared over his lips. Jungkook licked Taehyung's lips and sighed at the sweet taste which lingered over them.
Taehyung couldn't help but feel giddy inside due to the kiss. He really missed being in Jungkook's embrace these past days.
He couldn't even sleep at night without tossing or turning for about two hours. He missed Jungkook's warm hugs, his smile, his kisses and those adorable dimples.
Whenever Taehyung would steal a glance at Jungkook, the other would either be frowning at his food or just had a neutral face, no smile, nothing.
