Chapter 57

Third Person's POV

"Wh-what? Why not?" Jungkook looked at Taehyung with wide eyes and it looked like he was about to cry any minute.
"You didn't even bother telling me that you like me or not. Why would I accept to be your boyfriend just because you're not a jerk? I should accept to be someone's boyfriend who likes me." Taehyung voiced out and Jungkook just stared at the other for few minutes and the moment he was about to say something someone knocked at the door.

Jungkook let out an audible sigh and said "come in."
"Sir, the setup is ready. I'm here to escort you to the stage." The backstage guy said to Jungkook and Taehyung.
"Yeah, let's go." Jungkook said and got up and Taehyung did the same.
The moment the other guy turned around Jungkook leaned towards Taehyung's ears and whispered "I like you, alot more than you can ever imagine." Jungkook quickly pulled away, but not before giving a soft peck on Taehyung's cheekbone.
Jungkook hurriedly followed the backstage guy and Taehyung stood there for few minutes with bright red cheeks.

"Good afternoon everyone. Today our special guests are, two most renowned professional players, Jeon Jungkook and Kim Taehyung. Let's welcome both of them on the stage." The interviewer said through her mic as Jungkook and Taehyung walked upto to the stage.
"Hello Jungkook-ssi and Taehyung-ssi, it's a pleasure to meet you two. Welcome on MV media." The interviewer greeted both of them and Jungkook and Taehyung bowed to everyone before sitting on the couch.
The couch wasn't too big, hardly three people could fit on the couch, so Jungkook and Taehyung didn't have much space between them and Taehyung avoided looking at Jungkook as much as possible.

"How are you two doing? How are other members?"
"All of us are doing quite well, just practice and all." Jungkook answered casually and Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Taehyung-ssi, how's the team treating you?"
"Everyone is really nice and welcoming. They accepted me very warmly and I get to learn a lot of things from them everyday." Taehyung answered with a warm smile, thanking the Lords that he didn't stutter.
"Jungkook-ssi, is AMOSX aiming for the trophy this year? Your team performance has been phenomenal since the start."
"We aim for it every year. Hoping and working for the best output now." Jungkook said professionally.
"Is Namjoon-ssi okay now? Is there any chance he'll return and be the mid player again?"
"He's doing good and no, Taehyung is our permanent mid." Jungkook answered. He was basically least bothered about all these questions, he just wanted to talk to Taehyung.
"Taehyung-ssi is really a great player. Can we ask something to you Taehyung-ssi?"
"Yeah sure, but nothing too personal please."
"It's upto you, if you want to answer or not. Fans are talking a lot about you and Wooshik, so do you want to comment something on it?"
"Okay, I'll clear this for once and all. I and Wooshik are nothing. We shared a past and it's over now, we don't communicate much except for something related to our match. So, please stop speculating things, we are nothing, not even friends" Taehyung answered. He was quite tired with every assumptions the fans were making about them.
"Jungkook-ssi, people were also talking about your girlfriend. Do you want to share something about it?"
Honestly, the interviewer was getting on Jungkook's nerve now.
"Firstly, she is not my girlfriend. Even if I had a partner, I wouldn't make my relationship public. I belive a relationship lasts longer when it's away from prying eyes. If I ever get in a relationship, I'll keep it private, not a secret. My fans will know that I have someone, but won't know who is it, unless I or my partner wants it."
"Ah I see. Do you have someone you like?"
"We are esports player. We should discuss gaming, not our personal life." Jungkook finally said it out loud.

The interview finally got over and Jungkook let out a breathe of relief as they walked down the stage.
The moment they entered into the green room, Jungkook locked the door.
He went towards Taehyung who was calling his Dad.
Jungkook hugged Taehyung by his waist from the back. The skinship caused Taehyung to yelp a bit.
"What are you doing?" Taehyung asked as he tried to wiggle out of Jungkook's hold but he failed miserably.
"Tell me Taehyung, do you want to be with me? Do you want to be my boyfriend? I really really really like you, even more than that...but I'm sure it's not the time to say that. All I want you to know is, I really like you, I already fell for you the day I saw you in the school, with that wide boxy smile and that oversized panda sweater. I want you to know I'll never let anyone harm you, I won't let a single tear fall from your eyes if it's not of happiness, I'll protect you and love you with all I have, Taehyung, please be with me? I'll forever be yours, even if you don't want to be mine, but atleast give me a chance to be your lover? Please?" Jungkook confessed everything he had on his mind, he said everything his heart felt was right.
Taehyung was very close to tearing up but he managed to turn around in Jungkook's hold and looked into Jungkook's expectant eyes.
"I like you too, alot. I'll be with you, just don't make me regret this, please." Taehyung said and hugged Jungkook tightly.
Jungkook stood there, dumbfounded for few seconds untill he finally registered those words and hugged Taehyung tightly.
"Fuck! I can't believe you agreed! Fuck Taehyung! Thank you so so so much, I swear you won't ever regret being with me, fuckkk I'm so happy right now."
Jungkook twirled Taehyung in the air.
"Hey, put me down! Dad is calling me." Taehyung said while giggling a bit.
Jungkook finally put Taehyung down but didn't let go of him yet, he hugged him while Taehyung answered the phone.
"Dad, how are you?"
"I'm all good, your eomma keep nagging me about visiting you this week. Do you want me there?"
"Of course, I miss you terrible, Dad. Can't wait to meet you!" Taehyung sounded so excited that Jungkook also smiled at that.
"I'll be there a day before your next match. When is it?"
"Why only a day before? I'll be busy, Dad. Come on Wednesday, please? I really miss you. Want to spend the day with you. I have a match on Saturday." Taehyung whined out. He actually missed his Dad terribly, he was his best friend after all and he had so much to share with him, he couldn't wait to meet him anymore.
"Will you visit us any time soon?" His mom asked.
"Eomma, I have to check my schedule. I think December is off for us, there's no match scheduled so I can go there at that time." Taehyung said and Jungkook tightened his hold on the other's waist, as if already afraid to let him go.
"I'll be there on Tuesday, will be staying at the Flora hotel." Taehyung's Dad said and Taehyung literally broke out in a smile.
It was truly an amazing day.

"I really like you." Jungkook said in Taehyung's ears, as soon as Taehyung's Dad hung up.
