chapter 42

Third Person's POV

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen" The two hosts, who were conducting the drawing ceremony came in view, as they stood right at the middle of the stage, where 4 seperate transparent glass jars, seeded pools were placed on a round table with chits in it. The first and last jar had two small balls, second and third had four mini balls in it which contains chits where Group A Or B was mentioned.
"Hello, welcome to today's draw ceremony. I'm your host Bae Suzy" One of the host, introduced herself followed by the other "and I'm Park Hyungsik".
" We're gathered here for the National Championship draw ceremony, which officially begins from 21st, that is the day after tomorrow and as we all know this is the most awaited championship so it's huge matter for our gamers" Suzy said "As for the rules, we'll show the teams participating in this championship on the screen" Hyungsik finished and the screen went off behind them.
"There are four seeded pool, and according to the ranking of the last Spring Championship, the first and second team will be placed under first seeded pool, third to sixth team will be under second seeded pool, seventh to tenth under third and the last two teams are under fourth" Hyungsik explained "And as for the groups, we'll do it alternatively as in Group A and Group B" Suzy finished.
"We'll start the draw ceremony now" Hyungsik said and Suzy continued "and as we all know Team TRIUMPH was the champions of Spring Championship, so a member of their team is requested to come up on the stage as they'll be the first to draw their opponents" and slow claps were heard from other teams.
"I see, the leader of TRIUMPH, Wooshik is coming up on the stage" this was followed by loud cheers.
Wooshik looked one last time at Taehyung, who was sitting parallel to him with his team members, beside him Jk was sitting and he had a neutral face, as if he was just trying to get over with this as soon as possible.

Wooshik got up from his seat and passed by Team AMSOX and gave a stink eye to Jk and the rest of the member, except for Tae and othe members of Team AMSOX just rolled their eyes at his childishness.
He got up on stage and stood right beside the round table which was rotating, Wooshik reached for the first jar and picked out one of the balls which was kept in it and showed his chit to Hyungsik and Suzy who read it out loud "Group B".
"Okay, now moving on to the runners up of Spring championship, Team AMSOX. I would like to request the team's leader to come up on the stage and have your pick although the results are decided that it's Group A,still we would like it if you come up on the stage and complete the procedure" Hyungsik said.
Jk got up from his seat and Taehyung cheered for him enthusiastically followed by the other members. He got up on stage and picked up the other ball from the jar and showed it to the hosts and they read it out again as Group A.
Like that other teams were also divided into two groups, A and B and atlast the screen showed all the teams of A and B who will go against eachother in the championship.
During the whole ceremony Jimin and Hobi were gossiping amongst themselves and Yoongi indulged with them once in a while.
"Did you notice how annoyed Jk looks right now?" Jimin asked Hobi who was sitting right next to Jk and he acted as if Jk wasn't just few meters away from him. "I know right, his face is so stoic and he hardly opened his eyes" Hobi commented, trying his best to whisper softly and Taehyung who could clearly hear them chuckled at their conversation and leaned towards Jk to whisper into his ears "I also noticed that you're annoyed and also sleepy I guess, so what's annoying you?"  "your ex" Jk gave an instant reply without opening his eyes and Tae looked at him, confused.
"Wdym? He didn't even talk to you....how can he annoy you without doing anything?" Tae asked, cuz he didn't understood why would Jk suddenly be annoyed by Wooshik, he knew that Kook didn't like Wooshik but still. "Don't tell me you didn't notice how he kept staring at you throughout the whole ceremony" Jk commented , this time looking straight into Tae's eyes and on instinct Tae turned towards the other team and well, he did found Wooshik staring at him with a small frown and when their eyes met, Wooshik offered a small smile to Tae but Tae just rolled his eyes at him.
"Just say you two are back together or something" Jk sighed out loudly and went back to close his eyes. "Wtf! Are you serious? Me and him, again? No way in hell. And I seriously didn't know he was staring at me" Tae said in a whisper but Hobi heard it and he proceeded to tell that to Jimin.
"How did you notice though? You had your eyes closed throughout the ceremony" Tae questioned Jk who just shrugged.
"Don't tell me you're tired bcz of our little Netflix and Chill yesterday night!! " Tae said, well a bit too loud for Hobi and Wooshik to hear as well. Jk's eyes immediately shot open "have a filter on your mouth" Jk said and Tae was confused as to what he said that made Jk react like that and Hobi froze on his spot.
"J-jimin, our leader and Tae had sex yesterday" Hobi said to Jimin, who was trying hard to control his laughter as he knew that's not what Tae meant as Tae told him about the other day. Meanwhile, Wooshik was kinda burning with jealousy.
