Third Person's POV
Life was never really easy for Jungkook, people might think he lived a lavish life cuz his family is one of the richest family of South Korea, but he knows how much he had to work to create his own name. His parents never really cared about him, they were too busy with their business, they only cared about Jungkook when it came to his academic performance and nothing else. He was like a tropy they liked to show off when necessary and Jungkook grew up as an introvert, who would not talk about his problems and would just be by himself whole day, either studying or engrossing himself in video games. He met Yoongi when he was in school, and Yoongi was also an introvert just like him so he never really mind the other's company and they also shared a common interest in games, which only brought them together.
Jungkook never shared a great relationship with his parents unlike his brother, Hyunjin, who was his mother's favourite and for some reason Hyunjin thought his brother wasn't fond of him, which wasn't true at all. Jungkook basically accepted the fact that his parents would never really be affectionate to him so he himself wasn't habituated with that feeling and even though he adored his brother, he didn't know how to show it to him and till this day Hyunjin thinks Jungkook doesn't care about him.
Jungkook was already feeling unwell, maybe because of consuming an unhealthy amount of icecream the other night but he did enjoy it alot. Now, after overthinking an unhealthy amount doesn't help with his situation as it added on to his headache, he just wanted to sleep at the moment, so after texting Jin he straight away booked a cab since the volvo will be used by the team as they'll go out for dinner after this.
While, heading out he saw Taehyung was embraced in a tight hug, they were standing near the corridor and let's just say the image didn't really fit well in his mind. He went near them and stood behind the wall and decided to listen to their conversation, as creepy as it sounded, still.
"Stop crying now" Taehyung pulled out of the hug and rubbed the other man's back lightly, to somehow comfort the crying man in front of him. Jungkook noticed that it was none other than Hwan, the other team's leader and Jungkook furrowed his brows at that, as to why is Taehyung comforting him? Just bcz he lost a single match? Jungkook knows it's not a light topic, loosing a match means a lot to the team, it directly impacts the gamer's mental health but he didn't understand why was Taehyung comforting an overconfident kid when he's supposed to leave for their little outing they planned with the team.
"I really worked hard, I thought I had everything figured out but nothing worked as I planned" Hwan said while sniffing. Taehyung smiled at him and finally said "you know what I noticed about your team? Your technique is great, really great, trust me i would've never expected you all to have such strong technique but then I also noticed your team lacks something...." Taehyung said, taking a seat on small couch placed against the wall, behind which Jungkook was standing.
"Huh? What is it?" Hwan asked curiously and Taehyung sighed out "team work", he glanced at Hwan and saw the other was still confused so he continued "You don't trust your members and that's the problem and you can't deny this.....I noticed how you kept taking everything upon yourself and your team mates were just there, not participating unless you want them to and that's the problem. If you applied the same technique and trusted your members trust me the match wouldn't have been this easy for us, well it wasn't easy actually. Do you see these dark circles under my eyes? I stayed awake the whole night to figure out you guys' technique and Kook even scold me for that" and Jungkook could imagine the pout resting on Taehyung's lips.
"Wait really? Was it that complicated?" Hwan asked, shock evident in his voice and Taehyung hummed at that and spoke again "yeah it was and i have to agree y'all will go ahead, it was my first match you know that right? I was really nervous the whole time but my team mates tried their best to ease out my nervousness and the trust we have as team mates made us win" and at that Hwan agreed, he did understood that and also decided to come back stronger.
"Thank you for comforting me..... I never expected you to comfort me like this, i-it means a lot" Hwan said while blushing a little, Jungkook could actually see Hwan's face and noticed that blush on the other's cheek and it irked him so without wasting a second he pushed himself away from the wall and came in Taehyung's and Hwan's view.
"Did you check the time? They're waiting for you in the room, go now" Jungkook said, looking straight into Taehyung's eyes who just stared at him for few seconds and then finally pushed himself off the couch with an audible sigh.
"Hey hwan, it was nice talking to you, I believe in you and I know you and your teammates will do great in the upcoming matches" Taehyung once again hugged Hwan tightly and with a final pat on his shoulder he let go, unable to notice the glare a certain someone was throwing at their direction.
"Hyung, all the best for your career, you're really talented and so pretty as well" Hwan muttered but Taehyung and Jungkook clearly heard it, while Taehyung chuckled at that, jungkook snorted at that and shooed Taehyung away saying everyone's waiting.
Before leaving Jungkook went near Hwan and whispered into his ear "he knows he's pretty and talented as well".
