Even though I'm a bit reluctant about this whole professional gaming thing, I still want to believe this maybe because gaming is the only thing I love, this is probably the only thing which helps me to cope up with all my problems and making this as a career seems to be the best thing ever. The main problem here is my mom, growing up mom always wanted me to be an accountant probably because that what she wanted to become.....at first I also made my mind to fulfill my parents' dream but after a certain point it started to feel like a burden, I couldn't deal with it anymore still I studied hard to get the degree atleast and it's already been three months I graduated ans honestly even though I applied for accountant's job at three places I didn't want to do it.
I entered into my house and saw my father peeling off the potatoes while watching golf match and my mother was on the kitchen, cooking dinner for us. I picked the safe side and went to convince my dad first.
"Dad......I have something to say" I said with hesitation. He just looked at me and smiled, an indication to continue without feeling hesitated. "Umm... You know right about the game i play? So one of the most famous professional gaming team's manager texted me today and they wanted me to join them as....a..as a professional gamer" I finished and finally looked into my father's eyes. "Which team? " He just asked me this question "team AMOSX" I replied.
After a long pause, he finally replied back "go for it, if this is what you love and want to do then just go for it" "But dad what about mom? She always wanted me to you know....." I knew Dad will help me convince mom, still the thought of doing this to my mom was really upsetting.
"What are you two discussing huh?" Mom suddenly asked from the kitchen. And before I could say something Dad already replied "Tae got an offer to join Team AMOSX as a professional gamer and he wants to take this opportunity".
For a moment mom was blank, I could even read her eyes, she just stared at Dad as if she saw a ghost. "Gaming career? Tae, do you really want this? A career which has no surety, what about your future?" She asked me and dad replied on my behalf "let him start his career first, if he wants to do it let him do it. We are no one to decide what he should do with his life". " Dinner is ready, come have it" Mom said and left the conversation there and i just looked at my dad helplessly.
