Blaine, Kurt and Liv were at the Lima Bean, and to say the mood was bad was an understatement.
"Rachel and I might as well get used to a life of barista work and summer stock- said Kurt as he finished compiling an Application for Employment- There's no way we're getting into NYADA now. If we don't win at Sectionals I have pretty much left to live for".
"Yay, that's what I call positivity" Liv muttered, rolling her eyes as she drank her coffee.
"New Directions is a mess and we're gonna lose, Kurt- said Blaine and Liv slammed a hand on her forehead, defeated by the fact that by now everyone had already given up, while Kurt did not even seem to be listening- and I can't do a thing about it. Every time I open my mouth, Finn gives me this look, like, "What does he think he's doing?", I know what I'm doing" Blaine complained and Liv really couldn't take it anymore.
"Okay that's enough- exclaimed Liv drawing the attention of the two boys- I won't sit here a minute longer listening to you complaining, deciding to give up without even trying- she said then she took a break- I'm gonna get some more sugar for my coffee and when I come back I expect both of you to stop this stupid pity-show and start doing something more useful" she ended it with a fake small and got up without waiting for them to reply.
Liv walked over to the counter to get more sugar, she might have been gone for a few minutes, but when she came back to the table she found someone she didn't expect to see or at least hoped for. Sebastian Smythe. When Kurt had told her about Sebastian, she hadn't thought about that Sebastian, she had some doubts when he told her that he had lived in Paris, but the world was big and coincidences didn't exist, so she thought, or at least hoped, that it wasn't him, but it was.
He was talking to Kurt and Blaine and he was being a dick, as always, also he was shamelessly hitting on Blaine, but he was too clueless to notice, even though Kurt had. And before Sebastian had the chance to say something else Liv decided to intervene.
"Hey boys" Liv said going back to her table with a plastered smile on her face.
"Hey you're back- Blaine greeted her once he noticed her presence again next to him- oh sorry, I still haven't introduced you two, Liv this is-" continued Blaine, being the price charming he was, but Liv interrupted him.
"Sebastian- she ended for him and Sebastian smirked- long time no seen"
"Hello princess" he said to her smiling, but Liv could see through that smile and know that there was nothing genuine behind that.
"Wait, you two know each other?" asked Kurt not understanding, while Blaine frowned confused.
"It's complicated" answered immediately Liv.
"Oh come on gorgeous it's not that complicated, it's just-" Sebastian tried to say, but Liv interrupted him stepping on his foot. No one said anything for a few moments, but Liv noticed the way Sebastian was looking at Blaine, like he was some trophy to win and she also noticed the was it was annoying Kurt and making him uncomfortable, then she remembered what had happened the night at Scandals. Liv knew how much Sebastian could be vicious and she wouldn't let that jerk ruin her best friend's happiness.
"Sebastian, can I talk to you for a minute?" she told him, dragging him away from Kurt and Blaine under their confused glances.
"What the hell are you doing here? Why aren't you in Paris? You love Paris! Your parents love Paris!" she asked once they were far enough away not to be heard by the couple.
"My dad got transferred" Sebastian answered.
"From Paris to Lima? And you were okay with it? You love Paris!"
