3x17: Saturday Night Glee-ver

Liv and Rachel were in Rachel's bedroom, the audition for NYADA was a few weeks away and the girl had stayed all afternoon at her girlfriend's house to help her rehearse. And even though Liv had told her she sounded perfect a thousand times, Rachel never seemed fully satisfied of her performance.

"Do you think I should make it more theatrical? Like I was on Broadway?- Rachel asked but before Liv had a chance to answer her she started speaking again- Do you think I should dress like Barbra in Funny Girl? You know go on stage with a bag and the orange coat? Or I could even like replicate the scene, I should just convince the others, or-" but before Rachel could say anything Liv stopped her, she got up from the bed and went toward her girlfriend, placing her hands on her shoulders and making her sit on the bed in front of her.

"Rachel, babe stop, you were amazing, perfect and you sounded beautiful- she reassured her- stop worrying okay? Because if there's someone who's gonna get in that school, it's you, all right?" Liv said placing one hand on her cheek and gently caressing it.

"You sure?" she asked her with a sheepish smile, and God sometimes Liv had a hard time believing that that was Rachel Berry herself, strong and confident, the. lead singer of the New. Directions who never doubts herself and who no one, including her, had doubts that one day she would be a star.

"Absolutely" Liv replied taking her face in her hands and kissing her soundly on the lips.

"I can't believe it's finally time- started saying Rachel with dreamy eyes getting up from the bed then started walking around the room- in a few weeks I'll have my audition for NYADA and in a few months I'll go to New York, to Broadway. I'll go home" she ended with a whisper, and Liv couldn't help but feel her heart break a little at the thought of Rachel leaving.

"Rach?" she asked, her voice barely audible, almost like a whisper.

"Yeah?" Rachel turned in her direction, with still a big smile on her face.

"What's gonna happen to us?" and at Liv's question Rachel frowned, not really understanding what her girlfriend meant.

"What do you mean?" she tried to understand, then she sat on the bed next to Liv, to be closer to her.

"Rach, in a few months you'll be gone, you'll be in New York, far away from this city and from me. Meanwhile I'll be stuck here, what do you think it's gonna happen to us?" Liv explained and Rachel smiled softly taking her hand in hers.

"Liv, babe, nothing's gonna happen to us- she answered her without hesitation- I'll go to New York and you'll stay here, you'll graduate and get into NYADA with your amazing talent and you'll join me in New York, everything's gonna be okay" she explained and it sounded easy like a piece of cake.

"No! How can you not understand?- Liv yelled getting up from the bed and taking her hand away from Rachel's- in a few months you'll be in New York living your dream while I'll be stuck here, in high school, in Lima, in Ohio! How can you believe that nothing's gonna change between us?"

"Because I love you Liv- Rachel replied getting up to and slowly approaching Liv- because I love you and I'll do anything in my power to make sure that we will be okay-Rachel said, trying to comfort her, trying to make her understand how much effort she was ready to put in their relationship- it's just a year Liv, we can do it" she continued placing her hand on Liv's arm softly caressing it.

"You loved Finn too Rachel, but then I arrived and you broke up with him to be with me- Liv  snapped and Rachel immediately took away her hand and walked away from her- So how can I hope that once you're in New York that you won't fall in love with some hot NYADA guy or some gorgeous Broadway actor? Completely forgetting about your boring, pathetic girlfriend back in Ohio, be real Rachel there's no hope, the moment you leave our relationship will be over" Liv didn't really know how it happened, how they gotten to that point, but she had kept those feelings bottled up for too long and now they had exploded and there was no coming back.
