The dreaded moment had finally come, Kurt and Rachel's audition for NYADA would take place in the week and in the air you could breath the tension and the anxiety.
Kurt had done nothing but practice in the last few days, hours and hours of rehearsals that poor Blaine was obliged to attend, to give Kurt his opinion on the latter's performance every single time. Although Blaine would never admit it, Liv was sure that the poor boy couldn't take it anymore, by now he could also sing "Music of the Night" in his sleep, like Kurt, who now spent more time with the costume of the ghost of the Opera than with his normal clothes
Rachel on the other hand was still Rachel, but amplified to the power, Liv now after almost a year thought she had seen and learned to love all of her quirks, well she could not be more wrong. Apparently, Rachel ,before every big audition, didn't drink milk, and so far, nothing weird, she didn't touch the door knobs, yes it was weird how it sounds, but more importantly, she avoided the kisses she said spread disease. And Liv, at the risk of sounding over dramatic, couldn't take it anymore, she and Rachel hadn't kissed for days and doing anything else well... let's not talk about that.
Now they were at the Lima Bean, and while Rachel was checking the last things for her audition Liv had gone get them something to drink.
"A peppermint tea for my shiny star- Liv said once she had come back to the table while handing Rachel the cup- and a cappuccino large for me" she ended sitting down next to her girlfriend.
"Thanks- Rachel replied smiling softly at her- but babe, we should really talk about how much caffeine you consume during the day, cause I'm not sure it can be considered healthy"
"Rach, what did we say? You don't say anything about how much coffee I drink and I don't make comments about the giant poster of Barbra Streisand you have in your closet"
"Liv you promised you wouldn't- Rachel tried to say, but Liv gave her a look that made her stop immediately- fine" she sighed.
"By the way- Liv started- are you nervous about your audition? You've been talking about it for months and now it's finally here, how are you feeling" she asked taking a sip of her coffee
"I feel fine, I'm ready after all those singing and dancing lessons..."
"Staying awake until middle of the night practicing your Oscar acceptance speech" Liv interrupted laughing at the memory.
"Yeah- Rachel laughed too but then went back serious- it feels as if so many little moments that happened one after the other have led to this great moment, the most important, so no, I'm not afraid, it feels right. And when this moment comes I will shine like the brightest of stars"
"You are the brightest, the greatest star Rachel" Liv told her softly placing her hand on hers.
"Thank you- Rachel replied smiling squeezing her hand- also thank you for the past weeks, I know I haven't been the easiest person to be around, so thank you"
"I wouldn't have it any other way" Liv said, her smile never faltering for even one second from her face.

Liv was at her locker, cleaning it up a little, cause lately it was a mess, while she was on the phone with Quinn planning on when to go shopping for prom dresses.
"Yes, we could go next Friday, no no it's fine I'll just tell Rachel we can go to the movies the next day- Liv said while throwing out of the lockers another sheet of paper to then throw it in the basket- and yes Quinn, you're coming, no no I don't wanna hear any but"
While on the phone she saw Kurt coming her way, with a look on his face that did not promise anything good. "Okay perfect, next Friday we're going, we're gonna find the perfect dresses and we're gonna have the most amazing night. Now I need to go, bye see you later" she said then she ended the call, just in time cause Kurt had arrived next to her
