TO LOVE YOU MORE || GLEE

3x11: Michael

It had been three days since Finn proposed to Rachel, three days since she said no, three days since their love story was officially over.  From the day in the auditorium the two had not spoken and they had not even talked to their friends about the break up, nobody knew anything yet and honestly Rachel preferred so, because telling the others meant giving them explanations, and that meant confronting Liv, and Rachel wasn't sure she was ready to do it yet.

"Hey Rachel can I talk to you for a second?" asked Finn, taking Rachel by surprise, while she took some books from her locker.

"Uhm, sure, what is it?" Rachel replied.

"It's been three days Rachel, I think we should tell the others that we broke up, we don't have to tell them why, just that we did, they're our friends and I don't like keeping things from them" said Finn and even if Rachel wasn't ready, she knew it was the right thing to do.

"I know and you're right, we should tell them and Finn I want you to know that-" but before she could finish the sentence Finn interrupted her.

"It's about Liv, isn't it?"

"What?"

"The reason why you can't marry me, you can't because you're not in love with me anymore, you're in love with her" Finn explained sadly and Rachel could see that he was holding back tears.

"Finn, I'm so so sor-" she wanted to apologise, because she knew it wasn't fair, she hadn't meant for any of it to happen, but it did, but Finn stopped her again.

"I should've expected it. I mean, it was so obvious, the way you look at her, the way your eyes shine when you talk about her. It was right in front of my eyes the whole time, but I decided to ignore it because I'd rather ignore it than accept the fact that you didn't love me like before. I think that's also why I proposed to you, I would've done anything to keep you with me, even though it wasn't fair" Finn said sadly, lowering his head like he was ashamed of his own actions and also to hide the tears.

"I never meant to hurt you" Rachel said placing a hand on his forearm.

"I know, see you at Glee" Finn nodded, then he turned an walked away, but after taking a few steps he stopped and turned in her directions again. "You should tell her, she deserves to know and you two deserve to be happy" Finn told her and then he started walking away, leaving Rachel alone, wondering if she still had time to make things right with the girl whose heart had broken way too many times.

Finn and Rachel had requested an emergency meeting with all of the New Directions and no one really knew why. So now here they were in their choir room sitting all in their seats while Finn and Rachel stood where usually there was Mr. Shue, obviously worried.

"Why are we here- asked Santana pretty annoyed- I swear to God Berry, if you called us to make us watch you singing all your love to Finn again-"

"It's not about that Santana" Finn interrupted her.

"Then what it is?" asked Mercedes.

"Finn and I broke up" answered Rachel leaving everyone pretty shocked, even though some of them seemed more surprised than others. Kurt turned in Liv's direction expecting some kind of reaction from the girl, but she seems unbothered like the news didn't affect her.

"Congratulation Finn for finally understanding how annoying Rachel is, I thought you never figured out- said Santana, she made a pause and then continued-or was it you, Rachel? Did you grow tired of his boobs?"

"Enough Santana" told her Finn and surprisingly Santana shut up probably understanding that it wasn't the right moment to make jokes.

"Of course this won't interfere with the competitions and we will remain professional, but we'd like if you didn't make any questions" explained Rachel.
