You were impatiently waiting for Jenna to arrive. As much as you wanted to believe that the popular girl was actually interested in you, you couldn't help but think it was another nasty trick of Hunter's. Not like you pegged Jenna as a bully but it was ten minutes after 10am and she was nowhere.
You hated to admit but you were looking forward to this day. You haven't been on a date before. You were nervous, excited, happy and most definitely curious to see how it's gonna end for you.
The doorbell pulled you out of your own head and thoughts. Probably at the best time, right before you started to overthink and curse Jenna along with yourself for agreeing to this stupid date when it clearly was a joke and Hunter and his friends are all laughing at you somewhere.
'And here I was thinking you led me on' you smiled softly at the girl in front of you who was holding a white rose oh so close to her chest.
'What? No! Of course not. I'm so sorry I was late. I wanted to get you a flower but the florist I usually go to was closed for some reason, the next one I went to only had red roses and I didn't want to be cliche showing up with that, I wanted to get a different color, so I went to at least five shops before I found this' she looked down at the flower in her hands. 'So here,' she handed it to you. 'I brought this for you' Jenna smiled shyly.
'It's beautiful, thank you' you blushed. 'You wanna come inside? I'm going to put it in a vase and we can leave if you want.'
Jenna just nodded her head and followed you inside. She looked around in your home. It was cozy and somehow it mirrored your personality perfectly, even tho she knew it was your parents' place. They must be just like you, she thought and smiled to herself.
She looked at the pictures in the living room. There were a lot of you and your parents. Most of them were taken when you were a little kid. You were adorably cute with your glasses. She loved the fact that every single family picture included your favorite stuffed animal, a brown dog. It warmed her heart.
She also noticed a few of your drawings. They were... cute (?)
'My second grade drawings are framed like Picassos' you laughed when you saw what she was doing, more like what she was looking at.
'Understandable. These are the most perfect stick figures I've seen in my entire life.'
'Well thank you, it took me a lot of time to draw them' you giggled.
'Nice rose' you heard your mom's voice coming from behind. You didn't even have to look at her, you could tell by the tone she was smirking wildly.
Jenna spun around as fast as she could, facing your mom. You shook your head smiling and copied her moves.
'Mom, this is Jenna' you pointed at the taller girl next to you.
'It's nice to meet you' the brunette smiled and wiped her sweating palms in her jeans before shaking your mom's hand.
'It's nice to meet you too, Jenna' your mom smirked. 'I'm Y/M/N. So, are you guys hanging out here today or you have different plans?'
'I was planning to take Y/N to the Christmas market. My whole family's there already. We usually just walk around, drink hot beverages, having fun and then my mom forces everyone to watch Christmas movies at home. If that's alright with you, ma'am' Jenna gulped.
You looked at your mom and chuckled a little at the brown haired girl's nervousness. You found it really sweet.
'Of course, that sounds like a lovely day. You two have fun!' the older woman smiled and looked at you knowingly.
You got your coat and started heading out of the door when your mom turned her attention to Jenna.
'Do you know what the white rose means?'
