Okay, it's been a week, I'm starting to worry. Did I do something that made you upset with me?

You rolled your eyes for the seventh time that day (and it was only 10am on a Saturday). You genuinely thought there was something going on between you and Greta Joanne but looks like you were wrong.

She's been ignoring you ever since you told her you don't want to reveal yourself. You didn't think it was such a bid deal for her. She never once mentioned it in the past five months.

But it wasn't the only strange thing that has happened to you lately. Jenna kept coming to the diner alone, almost every day when you were working. She didn't talk to you, not even once. She was just sitting at table four and had one glass of water every time. She glanced at you here and there but turned her attention back to her phone when you caught her staring.

'Here's your water with light ice' you put a glass down in front of her.

'I haven't ordered anything yet' she looked at you.

'You've been here in the past week only drinking water with light ice. I assumed you would have the same. Do you want something different, maybe?'

'No, thanks.'

'If I were you, I would definitely try our peppermint milkshake. I know it sounds disgusting but it's actually really great. It also has chocolate chip in it. It's on the house' you gave her a little grin.

For the first time in four years, you saw a hint of smile tugging at her lips.

'I'm fine with my water but thank you, Y/N.'

You cursed yourself for the next thing you were about to do but you couldn't handle your curiousness anymore. You sat down in front of Jenna and crossed your arms.

'What?' she shot you a death glare.

'I was about to ask the same. Why are you here every day? Where are your friends? I thought you hated me, then why would you want to be under the same roof with me outside of school? '

'None of your business' she simply shrugged and looked down at her phone again. 'I'm not coming here because of you, Jesus. I just like the atmosphere.'

'The atmosphere?' you giggled. 'You do you, Jenna but I think you would like a park's  atmosphere better' you chuckled and got up from the table, going back to your regular spot at the counter.

'I don't think she hates you' Tony whispered, pointing at the brunette. 'This girl has been coming here in the past week, only when you were working and kept staring at you.'

'It's weird, isn't it?'

'You're so gullible' the boy laughed and touched your arm gently.

You didn't see it but Jenna was looking at you two. Jealousy rushed over her. She tried to process everything that has happened in the past few days. She knew exactly that she has fallen for you but she had no idea how to tell you without freaking you out.

Maybe that was the reason she spent her free time at the diner. She needed to see you, she needed to hear you talk, make conversations with costumers, she needed to see your smile. It just warmed her heart.

She never thought it would be you but it made her happy. She never hated you in the first place, quite the opposite. She was mesmerized by you. You were smart, you had good grades, you had tons of friends, real friends, you had a good sense of humor, you were hardworking, you did everything in your power to achieve your goals. And now, since a twist of fate, she had a chance to actually get to know you. You were the most perfect girl in her eyes.

She never was good at showing her feelings, emotions towards someone else, she just pushed everyone away. A lot of people referred to her as the Ice Queen, the untouchable at school and it was true. The only person who really knew her was you. It scared her a lot. She felt vulnerable around you, even though you had no idea that Greta Joanne and Jenna were one and the same.

She looked around and when she made sure you were nowhere to be seen, she took a napkin from the table and wrote a few words down on it. She got up and made her way out of the diner, leaving the napkin at a different table, hoping it will find its way to you somehow.

'Sleeping Beauty, make yourself useful and clean the tables if you have nothing else to do' you rolled your eyes at your boss but did as she told you.

If it wouldn't be for the money, you would've quitted this job a long time ago. You hated the way Wanda, your boss talked to you. Or talked to her other employees in general. She just wanted to show everyone that she had power but in your opinion, that wasn't what made a good employer. But who were you to judge?!

You wiped down all the tables at the diner. You couldn't wait to finish cleaning so you could finally go home and be alone with your personal problems. There was a lot going on in your life and the only person you wanted to share those thoughts with was gone and let's be honest, she was the reason behind your worries.

You let out a breath that you didn't know you were holding in. There was a piece of napkin under the last table you were about to clean. Seriously, would it be so hard to pick it up after yourself? you sighed to yourself and knelt down on the floor to get it.

'Meet me at 1pm on Monday after school. I will be in the library. If you know me as well as you say so, you'll know where exactly.

G. J.'

What the actual fuck? you thought to yourself.

You folded the napkin and slid it in your jeans' pocket.

'Tony, have you seen someone sitting at table six in the past few hours?' you rushed to your friend who was turning off the lights in the back of the diner.

'I'm pretty sure no one was eating at that table today. Why? Did something happen?' he looked at you confused.

'Yes. I mean, no. I'll explain it later.'

'You're a very weird girl, Y/N' your colleague playfully shook his head.

You didn't pay attention to the rest of his monologue. Millions of questions were running through your mind.

G. J. Greta Joanne. You thought she ghosted you and now she left a note at your work place. How does she know who you are? How does she know where you work? Who is she in the first place? You were convinced that you haven't seen anyone from your school coming to the diner that day, except Jenna but she was sitting at table four, like she always does. She only had a glass of water and she left. Plus, she's Jenna. Greta Joanne is so different from her in every aspect, there's no way they are one and the same.

But if not Jenna, then who?
