(10 minutes later.....)

Anna's POV

"I never expected anything less from you so I'm not surprised." Alexa whispered after a long minute of silence with her stare blank. She tucked the phone after stopping the recording and her vigorous tapping on the screen  in one of the pocket of her pants then adjusted the gun in her hand but didn't point it towards me....yet.

I looked down at my lap feeling tears of shame roll down my eyes. I couldn't help but just hoped Laila could find a place in her beautiful heart and forgive me though I don't expect her to find the guts to after everything I confessed.

"I just hope she forgives me. " I whispered out loud stopping my sob with my raspy voice wiping away the snob that had escaped from my nose with the back of my hand.

Disgusting I know but I have no choice...

"Yeah but just you know I'm going to make sure she doesn't find even the thought to forgive the three of you." My eyes widened in horror as I met her gaze not believing the words that just came out of her lips as the buzzed in my mind repeatedly.

How can she  be  this so fucking merciless and heartless?

My brows furrowed together in confusion as I wondered what she meant by the three of us. Alexa smiled wickedly down at me seeing my horrific reaction. "What do you mean the three of us?" I whispered out loud which made her roll her eyes in return.

"I mean you, your baby and Skylar. I have texted Skylar using Laila's phone saying how Laila is in danger and of course we all know she's going to come rushing here like the pathetic stupid puppy she is hoping she will save her so called girl but instead she's going to find your corpse here and by the time she reaches here I'm going to call the police reporting how I heard gun shots at this particular location which of course in less than fifteen minutes the cops will be already here and bomb... in no time she will be sentenced for murder for killing you and her child  leaving me with the person that  has always been mine from the very start and you guessed right....Laila fucking White."

Alexa broke into a maniac laughter making me shudder in shock and fear. "Aren't I genius Anna? Like it's going to be so fucking easy to manipulate  Laila. Of course she is going to run back to me when she's helpless and lonely because the person who she thinks she likes is going to be in jail  of course she's going to have rage over Skylar and wouldn't even ever think of her again because she will always have the anger towards her for making her best friend  pregnant besides you will be also out of the picture because you will be dead already and being the orphan she is , she won't have anyone to run to except me and I will show up to her just when the time is perfectly right with a better act I did on earlier. " Alexa whispered again after her maniac laughter died down as she  pointed her gun towards my forehead.

It was all an act......

All a stupid act....

No...it can't be

I shook my head as I imagined what Laila is going to be through with this psychopath. How the rest of her years are going to be horrible just because of me.....

"I can't let it happen, you can't do that to her. Alexa you are going to hurt her...the shut the fuck up what's done is done. Shut up and save the world from your disgusting breath."  Alexa whispered  interrupting my cries with her clicking off the safety. I gulped thickly my eyes shutting in the process.

I squeezed my eyes together in anticipation as I waited for her to pull the trigger but the next thing I heard was a 'thud' followed with a moans from Alexa of agony and pain.  I heard  steps coming towards me making my heart race as I knew I was next but I was determined  to see who was my killer at the same time my savior from the wicked hands of Alexa before I died.

I opened my eyes meeting someone wearing a black jumper with matching joggers as they held the had now the gun  in her hands pointing it towards Alexa and without waisting a minute, they   pulled the trigger shooting Alexa straight in the head stopping her moans from the shattered vase hit on her head before she fell limp on the floor.

They looked away from Alexa's body meeting my eyes making me take in the familiar facial features before they looked back at Alexa body now in pool of blood And guess who?...

(A/n: you don't know how badly I want to leave you on a cliffhanger right now but anyways not everything happens how we like it.)

My best friend.....

Laila's POV

My heart drummed hard against my chest as I felt the cold metal kiss my skin when I gripped the gun hard in my hands  as  I continued staring at Alexa's limp body. My body relaxed as I some of my anger subside. I was glad that the gun had a silencer on because I wasn't up for spending the rest of my life in jail just because of this psychopath though I wouldn't regret spending years in jail because of killing her but her alone wasn't worthy it.

But she had to do.

Enough is enough .

She fucking deserved to die. After everything she has done and said, I don't  think she even deserved to be born in the first place.

I felt hands wrapped around my body bringing me back to reality. My so called best friend sobbed in my chest as she sobbed hard until she was shaking from the her cries. My left shoulder of my jumper soaked in her tears as I stayed froze in place lacking words to even say to her.

"Oh my god Laila, thank you so so *sobs*  so fuc-king much for saving me Laila. *sobs* I don't know know what to even say to you to show how grateful I am . I can't even find the right words to show how thankful I am. You just saved me Laila, you saved your best friend after everything I said to you before I left.  You still saved me and even killed for me. I don't know what I did to deserve someone like you . I'm very glad I still have the right to call you my best friend." Anna sobbed loudly in between her words as she tried to form out the right words to say to me as I continued to stare ahead with a blank stare as my ears buzzed with her words

After minutes of her calming down, I raised my hands unwrapping Anna's hands from my body then also stepping back a bit to give some space between us staring deep in her red puffy eyes which held confusion.

"What's wrong Laila? Did I do something wrong?" She whispered and tried to take a step forward to grab me  but I stopped her movements when I  raised the hand that had the gun pointing it towards her straight between her eyes.

"Tell me the truth is Skylar the father of the baby?"
