Laila's POV

"What are you going to do now?"  Anna questioned as she sat opposite me on the floor as she then placed the pizza in between us. (A/n finally...I freed it... lol literally your comments about the pizza were hilarious especially @Miss_Hollis_Wren✨)

Anna happened to be listening to our conversation as she was hiding behind the door. It didn't make sense at all.....in fact it wasn't necessary in my opinion because I was going to tell her everything.

She is the person I tell everything literally with her making no  effort to find it out and just like how it has always been, I was also going to tell her everything but I guess she just wanted to find out this time herself.

Maybe....

"What are you thinking about Laila?" Anna broke the train of my thoughts making my attention snap to her but I didn't raise my eyes to meet her. " Don't tell me you fell for her trap. You know it's a trap Laila. She just wants to soften you up so you can fall for her words .They aren't  even words but empty fucking promises." Anna whispered through gritted teeth  and I could hear the underlying hatred she had towards Skylar and I couldn't help but wonder what makes her hate her like that.

"She literally meant everything she said Anna , don't say that." I whispered enough to for her to hear which made her  laugh out loud . So loud that it boomed throughout the halls.

She laughed for good minutes before I felt her gaze back to my figure intensely. My eyes stayed glued to the pizza box Infront of me pretending it was very interesting right now but nah what's interesting about it except the contents found in it.

"How do you know that huh?" My eyes stayed glued to the pizza box pretending I didn't hear anything she had just said which she took the sign I wasn't going to reply because I myself didn't know the answer to that except believe her words.

"How pathetic Laila? You fucking believed her that easily from just that small little paragraph she said. " Anna practically yelled out making me flinch in the process as her words slowly struck me but I didn't want to believe them so I fought back.

"Anna it was heart filled like every word she spoke, I could tell she meant it so much."  She laughed again so hard that I could feel her lose her breath in between her laughs as she struggled to find her voice again.

It hurt a bit making me wonder  if she was lying to me again just to make me stay.

"Are you dumb Laila? " After her laugh Anna's voice softened up a bit but I didn't expect her to ask me that.

Was I really dumb?

I felt Anna lean in towards me before placing her hands at the sides of my face then whispered for me to look at her but I didn't oblige . My eyes remained glued to the pizza box as her thumbs rubbed circles on my skin.

"Laila I'm sorry for yelling at you but  look at me.... please." Anna practically begged and I could hear  the  regret underlying her voice which made me to shut my eyes for a brief before opening them again then met her black orbs.

"Thank you....now listen, Firstly Laila those were freaking lies. She doesn't mean a single word that dripped from her mouth. A person can't change in just freaking hours...like just imagine it. One second she's humiliating you and the next thing she says she fucking likes you. It's impossible...you know that. If someone likes someone, they cherish and care for them not fucking hurt them , you know that. You may have liked how she dominates you but that's just lust in the first place all you have in between the two of you is lust, you know that too. After she gets into your pants , she's going to leave you hanging after fucking your feelings more. You are the one who likes her. She doesn't like you infact she can never like you back Laila.. She's your boss and you are just her personal assistant nothing more. You two can never be together...just imagine you going to the moon tomorrow which is impossible just like the two of you. It's going to hurt you but it's the truth Laila. She is  fucking lying and playing with your feelings. She can never like you back trust me on that."

I could feel the stinginess building up in my eyes with every word that dropped from Anna's mouth. I could feel the tug on my heart as her words swirled throughout my mind.  My vision grew bury as I sniffed in the cry  as well as gulping  down the lump in my throat.

I couldn't help but believe every word that escaped her mouth. They might have been a bit harsh a bit but they were true. It was truth. No one can fucking change in just hours from being bad then good.

How didn't I think of it that she may be lying to me.
Just lies....all fucking lies.

Tears rolled down my eyes as I raised my hand to wipe them away but Anna bit me up to it.  "Don't cry please but you have to face the truth. The truth hurts as much as  lies . Just know she's just pretending and in deed she is. You need to stop thinking she can like you back in fact you're her slut to her. You don't deserve any of this you are going through....you deserve so much as she said but not with her. You won't be happy with her at all because she's just using you in the first place. You have to stop being a weakling and stop letting people fuck with you. You deserve so much better with someone else who will love you and I think that person is not Skylar ."

"Then who is that person?" I managed to speak up but my voice came out horse. My eyes were burry but I could see the light smile on her face before she whispered. "That woman I found you with."

My wet eyes shot up realizing she meant Alexa which made me shake my head while mouthing a no repeatedly.

"Hell no...I would rather die alone that be with that good for nothing bitch." I whispered harshly as hot tears fell more from my eyes remembering how she blackmailed me and even tried to force herself to me.

No....not her.

I heard Anna let out a breathy sigh before she  ran a hand through her hair furiously before she placed her hands back to my cheeks to gain my attention meeting now her intense black orbs that were filled with nothing but anger and irritation.

"Look Laila, I don't care with what happened between you and that woman but I think she's better for you than Skylar because she's someone who looks like she will ever truly like you but if you think she's not the one at the same time you change your mind tomorrow and not quit your job then consider me dead because I won't keep up with your bullshit anymore as I said you deserve better but not with your boss."

With that her hands left my body before she stood up then grabbing her purse from the table walking out of the door without glancing me again......
