"Dahlia!" I jolt out of bed and turn to face the voice. Yoko was currently organizing her things in front of her bed.

"What time is it?" I yawn as I rub my eyes.

"It's seven, you have to get going if you want to make it to archery practice" Yoko walks toward the door and unlocks it. "I am going to hang out with Divina before class, bye!"

I grumble as I rise and make my way to the bathroom to get ready. The events of the previous night begin to flood my mind. How the hell was I suppose to act with Xavier after that?

"Hey, how'd you sleep?" Xavier glances as I walk up to the station right next to him. I realized the time while he was still practicing.

"I'm sorry I'm late, I overslept" I apologise and get the equipment I need for practice.

"It's fine, especially after last night" Xavier chuckles as he loads another arrow into his bow.

"Yeah, I'm sorry if I started acting weird. The high was kind of getting to me" I started to practice as my cheeks began to flush.

"Yeah, it's fine" Xavier sets his bow down and comes to stand in front of me, his face being mere inches from mine. "But, next time, the kiss should be on my lips"

His forwardness causes my eyes to widen. I begin to move away from Xavier so that he won't notice the blush on my cheeks. Xavier chuckles faintly before stepping away. "We should get to class"

I agree and begin to follow him as he takes hold of my hand and intertwines his fingers with mine. I moved closer, laying my head on his shoulder, refusing to be embarrassed or back away.

Right now I didn't know what we were, and it is getting to my head.

"While most plants reward their pollinators with sweet nectar, many carnivorous varieties turn to sеxual trickery or deception." The greenhouse is flooded by Miss Thornhill's voice. I observe Xavier reaching for his backpack as he groaned in pain.

"Tweaked my back fencing." Xavier explains as he sets his sketchbook on the desk. I nodded, not wanting to irritate him. Though I remained sceptical, I turned my gaze back to Miss Thornhill.

"The orchid produces a pheromone that mimics a female insect, luring the males in." After setting the plant she was holding on her desk, Miss Thornhill continues. "Now, once the plant is pollinated, what do the male insects get in exchange?"

"Nada. Just like all the guys at the Rave'N." Before Miss Thornhill can respond, everyone continues laughing at Bianca's remark.

"Okay, okay. I know you're all excited about Saturday, which is why I haven't assigned any homework." Everyone cheers with relief at her words. "But I do still need volunteers for the decorating committee. Anyone interested, come and see me up here."

Many students walk up to her, while others stay back and talk.

"You're not gonna volunteer?" Xavier jokes, shooting me a playful smile. "Aren't you pumped about disco balls and spiked punch? There's even a DJ. MC Blood Suckaz." I cringe at the name.

"Ah yes, the thought of such an amazing high school cliche is the only thing on my mind" I continue the joke, only Xavier doesn't laugh this time.

"Maybe you could invite someone and have a good time, see if it is just a cliche" His collar drops as he bends down to place his notebook away, exposing a scratch on the side of his neck. How the hell did that get there?

I was currently swalking alongside Wednesday as we continued our investigation and theories together. After I informed her of the scratches I saw on Xaviers neck, she had the brilliant idea to investigate him. That was the biggest mistake of the day.

"We need to do this" Wednesday says, walking alongside me.

"Oh so breaking into Xaviers private space is something we have to do?" I roll my eyes playfully. "And how do you even know about this shed?"

"I saw him walk out of it when I was investigating ealier"

"Why were you investigating him earlier?"

"Are we going to do this or not?"

"Yes ma'am" I fake salute to Wednesday. We carry on walking toward the woods. Until we get to an opening, we follow the trail. We up a few steps and come to a stop in front of a shed.

"This is where were going?" Wednesday nods, dragging me with her. We walk closer to the assymetrical door, being greeted at the sight of the monster everywhere inside. The same one that killed Rowan.

"I suppose every artist needs a muse" Wednesday mutters to both Thing and I. "Xavier, you just became that much more interesting."

"Why did he say that we we're lying if he's been drawing these?" I spoke, mostly to myself, while I combed through the several paintings and sketches that were all depicting the monster.

Wednesday picks up a drawing of the monster, placing it in her bag.

"You're really stealing that Hermanita?" She doesn't answer, continuing her walk out of the shed. I follow behind her and lock the door, we both freeze as we hear footsteps approach. Xavier.

"Distract him" Wednesday whispers as she rushes behind the shed, moving cautiously.

"What?"

"Hey, Dahlia, what are you doing?" I turn to face Xavier, who has a puzzled expression on his face.

"Oh, Xavier. Uh... I just saw you come out this way." I turn my attention to the shed beside us. "What is this place?"

"It's kind of my private art studio. I cleared it out, fixed it up, so Weems let me use it."

"That sounds really cool, how about you show me inside?"

"Uh, not right now its a total mess"

"Oh come on, a little mess isn't going to faze me"

"Maybe another time. Why were you looking for me?" I stand there in thought, contemplating what the hell I was going to say to cover.

"Well, uh I just wanted to..." I hesitate, finding no way to cover up.

"Is this about a certain 'cliche highschool' dance, perhaps?" Xavier wore a playful smirk. I stare at him in shock. This was the only way out. Though, I really do want to ask him, cover up or not.

"Are you really going to make me ask, if this was truly cliche you'd be asking" He chuckles softly.

"Oh, absolutely, I think it'd be better hearing it from you" I let my hair fall to my face, covering my flushed cheeks.

"Well, uh, would you maybe consider...no that doesn't sound good..." Xavier watches me in amusement. "W-would you go to the dance with me?"

"Yes, I would love to go to the dance with you, I thought you'd never ask" Xavier smiles, his eyes meeting mine.

"Neither did I" I mutter, turning on my heel to leave.
