"Why the hell did Wednesday have to do that?" I run a hand through my hair as I paced back and forth through Xavier's art shed.
"Hey," Xavier grabs my waist suddenly, stopping me from taking another step and turning me to look at him. "Try to relax"
"Yeah, cause that's so easy" I scoff, sitting down on Xavier's lap, and straddling him.
"Dahlia" I whip my head over to the voice, being met with Wednesday who stood with wide eyes at the entrance. "I wanted to talk, but I see it's a bad time"
"No, um we can go talk" I now stood in front of Xavier as I turned to look at him once more. "I'll be back in a little bit, okay?" He nods as I leave with Wednesday and close the shed behind us.
"What do you want, Hermanita?"
"Father's innocent, he is lying about what happened"
"Oh, so now he's innocent?"
"Look, I may have been wrong but now we need to prove his innocence" We stop walking as Wednesday turns to look at me. Though she kept the same stone-cold expression, it faltered slightly into one of pleading.
"Fine, but why did you even have to bring the murder up anyways?"
"They needed to face the truth, not lie" I scoff, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.
"Fine, now where to first?"
"Pugsley" I nod, remembering that he left off to a doc earlier to supposedly go fishing though he left without any gear.

"Pugsley" My brother turns to look at both Wednesday and I as we stood only a few feet behind him.
"You forgot your fishing gear" Wednesday moves closer and sits beside Pugsley, and I sit down beside her.
"Stop trying to be nice" puglsey turns to Wednesday. "It doesn't suit you" I laugh softly, resting against Wednesday's shoulder.
"Father picked your favourite bait"
"What will happen to him now?"
"Well, he's confessed, so there won't be a trial. After he's sentenced, he'll be sent to a state penitentiary, where he'll lose his mind being separated from Mother."
"Did you know they haven't spent a night apart since they tied the knot?" I chime in.
"I always thought I'd be the first one in the family behind bars," Pugsley said a small smile on his face.
"We had a bet going" Though having smiled slightly in amusement, Wednesday soon went back to her usual expression once she noticed our stares.
She sighs, reaching into the bag with the supposed bait, which was really just grenades. "Come on. Let's see if the fish are biting"
Pugsley grabs the grenade, removes the pin, and chucks it into the lake in front of us. As the sudden explosion erupts, fish start to float through the water.
"That's quite a catch" Wednesday smirks, though Pugsley held a much more gloomy expression.
"I'm going to miss him"
"It's not over yet. He's innocent."
"Well, if anyone can figure out who really committed the crime... it's you."
"None taken" I mumble as I scoff playfully, turning the look at the boy.
"You have to find out the truth and free dad"
