"I'm sorry your birthday turned out shitty" Yoko jokes, hugging me as we sat on my bed.

"Huh, it's fine I'm glad I get to hang out with you though" I smile, leaning my head on Yoko's shoulder.

"Yeah, no offense but I am a way better hang-out buddy than Xavier"

"Right now? Definitely"

"We should go do something, you know maybe we could go to the Weathervane?"

"My privileges were taken away, remember?" I laugh, Yoko sighing as she laughed as well.

"Right, I forgot. Well then let's just stay here, drink tea, and gossip" Just as Yoko finishes, my phone goes off. I check it to see the 'SOS' sent by Enid.

"Hey, I think I have to go"

"What? You just said you couldn't go out because the privileges were taken away, remember?"

"Enid texted me, I think something is wrong and I know she went out with Wednesday to investigate"

"You want me to go with you?"

"No, this could be dangerous and I don't need my favourite person in the entire world getting hurt" I joke, grabbing my sweater off of the desk chair.

"You do have a point." Yoko laughs "But text me if anything happens okay? I don't need you getting hurt either"

"Of course, bye!" I head out the door, closing it behind me and making my way out as discretely as I could.

"Enid pick up" I groan into the phone, hearing nothing but her voicemail. I put my phone back into my pocket, realizing that this was a lost cause.

As I continue my walk to...I don't even know where, I hear rustling from behind me. "Who's there?"

"Dahlia" I hear a familiar voice, the one I love so much.

"Xavier, what are you doing out here?" Even though I was happy to see him, I couldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that, given our last interaction.

"I went to go see Wednesday, but she wasn't in her dorm"

"Ouch" I mumble jokingly.

"Thing told me she was at the Gates Mansion, presumably with Enid. What are you doing here?"

"Enid texted me an SOS, so I decided to look around after she didn't answer my calls, but now I know where she is" I sigh, turning away from him and continuing my walk. Soon enough, Xavier caught up and started walking beside me.

"Are you still mad?"

"What do you think?"

"I said I was sorry"

"Oh, well in that case all is forgiven!" I laugh, continuing my stride as I made it closer to the mansion.

"Look, I mean it I'm sorry, okay? Can we just talk about it after?"

"Sure," I sigh, stopping at the gates as we finally reach the mansion. "Now, let's go find out what's happening shall we?"

Both Xavier and I walk alongside each other, inspecting the perimeter of the mansion.

"Where are they?" As if on cue, we come across Wednesday, Enid, and Tyler. Enid and Wednesday were kneeling in front of Tyler who was clutching onto his chest which had large scratch marks on it.

The monster was here.

"So," I sigh, sitting with my hands crossed over my lap as we all sat in Tyler's house. "Care to fill me in on what the hell happened?"

"We went to investigate the Gates mansion since we weren't able to earlier"

"You couldn't have waited?"

"We need to leave" Enid groans, growing anxious at the thought of being here. "Principal Weems is going to notice we're gone" Before anyone could say anything, the front door swings open. Sheriff Galpin stood, infuriated.

"What the hell happened?" He turned his attention to Wednesday who was tending to Tyler's wounds. "This was you wasn't it?" Tyler got up, facing his father.

"Wait, Dad, please. I'm okay"

"Sherrif, I get you're upset but I think there's something you need to see"

I sat with Xavier in his dorm, sitting down on his lap with my head resting on his chest. We were currently trying to wrap our heads around the events we watched.

"I can't believe Weems put the entire school on lockdown" I sigh.

"Yeah, but it's fine, we can still hang out" Xavier smirks, tracing his fingers on my back.

"Of course, I'm just worried about Wednesday. I mean, she's already on thin ice, and NOW what's going to happen?"

"Yeah, I know. Try not to worry too much right now though okay? Just relax" Xavier comforted, his voice smooth as silk.

"I love you" I whisper, my eyes growing heavy as my body shuts down.

"I love you too" Xavier smiles, wrapping a blanket around us. Before I succumb to my sleep, I realize what I had just done.

I told Xavier I loved him.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! So I ultimately decided to continue this story because I didn't want to just leave another story abandoned as I have done in the past BUT I will not be writing about Xavier or Percy in the future in both upcoming and in my Wednesday Oneshot book as well. I am going to be starting two new stories, one is based on my own plot and own characters/ideas, and the other is Wednesday based. I am contemplating between Yoko or Ajax for the love interest, so if you would like to see one more than the other for my next book, please let me know.
