The aftermath of the simulation is devastating, but Uriah is with you the entire time. He holds you tightly against him for the first day as he talks to the others, trying to help everyone process what happened.

The second day he still doesn't let go, not leaving your side even to eat or sleep. "It's alright, Y/N," he whispers to you whenever the tremors start, pulling you so tight to him that you can't feel the fear. "You're safe. I'm going to keep you safe."

And he does. In the days that follow, the two of you work tirelessly to rebuild the Dauntless's spirit and heal the faction, volunteering at Abnegation until your hands are bruised and sweaty, but still holding onto the other at the end of the night.

By the time a new normal runs around, you and Uriah are the epicenter of it. Tris and Four step down, and, when they need someone to take their places as the Dauntless leaders, they ask the two of you. You both tried to give it a lot of thought, but in the end, you and Uriah both knew you were going to say yes. The Dauntless- their culture, who they are, everything- are your entire lives.

Your wedding is a year and a half later, and the two of you share a top-giggly kiss in the cavern as all the others cheer your names.

For a Dauntless wedding, you'd expect that marriage would feel like a rush or a spike of adrenaline, but with Uriah, it just feels safe. It feels comfortable. And that's how it continues to feel, the two of you supporting each other, making wise decisions and growing to be respected by the rest of the city, until you get older and abdicate your positions to three of your younger friends and a bright-eyed new member who believes the best in people.

After your reforms, older people are welcome in Dauntless. In fact, in order to give their thanks to the two of you, the members of your faction have carved a special room in the cavern for the two of you to retire in.

"They will be in good hands," Uriah tells you, planting a kiss on the side of your mouth.

"Yes," you agree, smiling down at the top of the roof. "Ready?"

"Always, Y/N," Uriah says, beaming, and the two of you zipline down the Hancock Building, off into the sunset.
