'Welcome to Hillstone High!'
I stand in front of the school gate with gladness and excitement crawling down my spine.
This is the most awaited day of my students. Ngayon namin papatunayan na hindi lang gulo ang dala nila. And I hope na kahit anong mangyari, I want them to enjoy this day.
The campus right now is open for everyone, meaning iba't ibang tao mula sa labas ng campus ang pwedeng makijoin sa event ngayong araw.
Mamayang hapon pa naman ang mga main events. For this morning, may mga hinandang booths ang school para maenjoy ng lahat ang araw na ito. There are foods and souvenirs that they can purchase at kung ano-ano pang pwedeng ibenta.
Nakangiti akong naglalakad papunta sa room namin para icheck kung nandoon ba ang mga bugok, not until nakasalubong ko ang pinakabugok sa kanila. Agad akong sumimangot at nilampasan siya but he grabbed my arm.
"What did you do?"
"Ano na naman?"
"I thought they want us out of this event?" He said in deep voice. Nginisian ko siya bago sinagot.
"Well, you told me to find a way to fix it, so I did."
Pinanliitan niya ako ng mata as if he is suspicious about something.
"They will not easily change their minds especially if our section is involved. What did you do?"
"Hmm curious? Akala ko ba ay wala kang pakialam? Bat ka ngayon nagtatanong?" sabay ngisi ko sa kanya. He immediately let go of my arm and scoffed at me. Hindi ko siya pinigilan nang bigla siyang umalis sa harapan ko. I just look at him and slightly laugh.
Stephan will always be Stephan.
Alam ko naman na malaki ang pag-aalala niya para sa mga kaklase niya eh. Maybe he's not used of showing care for others. But anyway, I'll deal with him later kapag tapos na ang lahat. Siya naman ang sunod kong aayusin.
As I continue my journey to the room, sandaling sumagi sa isipan ko ang mga nangyari kahapon sa pagitan namin ng Head Master.
I'm indeed lucky to meet him. I got the chance to save my class and also to loose something later on.
FLASHBACK...
"You're one interesting woman. You want to make a deal with me just to let those kids to participate to the school fest?"
"And also for the future events of this school and to give them freedom in this campus." sagot ko.
Bigla siyang natawa na para bang ito na ang pinakapalong-palo na joke na narinig niya sa tanang buhay niya.
"Goodness! Do you expect me to give you my permission?"
"No, that's why I want to make a deal that might be beneficial for the both of us."
"A deal? Hmmmm... Interesting."
Sandaling katahimikan ang namayani sa pagitan namin. I could see that he is thinking deeply about this matter. Hindi ko rin naman mapigilang maging uneasy lalo na at hindi basta-basta itong matandang kaharap ko.
