Perfect Problem

I can't comprehend your laughter

So ripe, and so clear

Your eyes, they sparkle

It's hard not to stare

But I want to look away

Before the feeling takes over me

Jealousy, the jealousy

It all comes rushing back

When I see your purple hair

The significant flair

Your piercings and tattoos,

So strange yet so exquisite

Don't you know you're perfect?

Perfect yet so flawed.

Don't you know you're an angel?

But you're problematic, so problematic.

I'm afraid but I'm obsessed.

How could the two relate?

It's hard to realize the truth, that me and you...

We'd never get along, but we sure would be a duo

A perfect duo, we're one and the same

But honestly, you're my opposite, how could we keep the chain?

I don't understand

Why are you my savior

But also my enemy?

How are you a dream

When I see you in my nightmares?

Don't look at me like that, you don't even know me

But you stare in my soul like all you've ever known is me

"I try but I can't deny you"

You sing these words, and it's how I feel about you

Is there something I don't know?

Is it possible you've met me, in a past life

Or maybe a silly strife?

I suppose I sound insane,

Funny I'm running to the windowpane,

Searching for a sign that you're not human

But all this time.... somehow you are.
