"Are you sure there's nothing?" Raiden asks with his face buried in his phone, running over countless of websites that Misaki guided him to.

"There is, that's the problem. There's too much! I have no idea what's legit and what's not..." Misaki explains as he too looks through his phone, trying to dig something up about Seki's past. They decided to try and figure out why the hell everyone seems to hate Seki. It's so unprovoked and when Raiden asks a user online that called themself 'sekihater101', he thought he would get some answers.

But whoever that user was, just texted that their supreme has told him that Seki was a monster that has done terrible things throughout his life... still, they couldn't seem to describe these 'terrible things', which makes them an unreliable source.

However, it seems that the supremes might know something...

"Why is it that you're not just asking him?" Kei asks before stuffing his mouth with some food, "You literally live with him, what better source can you get?"

He mumbles through the last part and Misaki is quick to agree, "Yeah, didn't you say Haru convinced you to give Seki a chance? This might be a good way to start talking."

"About his dark and apparently depressing past that no one seems to know about?" Raiden asks with a lifted eyebrow, "Since the media clearly doesn't know what happened, what makes you think Seki would tell me?"

"Well, it's not like he has any friends," Misaki argues and points at Raiden with a fry, "It's possible he simply hasn't had anyone to share it with."

He might be on to something there... the only person Misaki has seen Seki speak with is Yua and she isn't exactly online often. Raiden leans back in his chair and lets out a sigh. He knows he should just go and ask, but for some reason... he's scared of what he might hear. Is Seki really a monster?

Sure, he has powers that could very well label him a monster, but he's so calm and collected. Raiden is scared he might start fearing being near Seki if he hears the truth... like, how can you trust a monster?

It's not like Seki is very trustworthy, to begin with, but Raiden is willing to give him a try. So as much as he doesn't want to know the truth, he's also extremely curious.

"Since when did you turn into such a pussy?" Misaki rolls his eyes and leans a little over the table, "No matter what it is, he's still here and still gets invited to the queen's parties. I mean, how bad can it be?"

"But even the supremes hate him... they know what happened thousands of years ago. It can't be anything small..."

"Just ask him, will you?"

Fine... Raiden is curious, so he might as well give it a try. How he's going to do it, he's not sure. Maybe he should join Seki for dinner tonight?

__________

"Hey, Yua... can you maybe set up my plate in the dining hall tonight?" Raiden stands before the older lady, who looks up at him with suddenly confused eyes. She's probably wondering where that request came from, but she smiles nonetheless.

"Of course dear! What's with the sudden change of mind?" even in her old age, she seems to remember Raiden pretty well. Maybe because he has become an incorporated part of the house for a few months and Yua sees him almost every day.

"Just... wanted to speak with Seki for some time," Raiden replies. She will probably forget it tomorrow, so he might as well say the truth. At least, most of the truth. He decides to skip the interrogation part he's planning to do.

Yua reaches out and gently pinches Raiden's cheek, "You're such a gentleman."

What on earth...

"That boy," Yua begins as she pulls her hand back, "He would really love to talk with someone."
