Raiden slowly opens his eyes, feeling how his entire body is fighting to move and wake up, but for some reason, that's more difficult than normal. It's like he's numb in his entire body and only his mind is awake.

Frightening, so to say.

The burning sensation around his neck and arms seems to get to him first and he's unwillingly reminded of what happened.

Mostly, all he remembers is rage.

He remembers staring at his wrists which are now sealed with a mark he swore to never have. He remembers looking up and staring back into those purple eyes that were now no longer intimidating, but swimming with regret and maybe even... fear.

But that did nothing to Raiden's heart. Nothing.

All he felt was anger. Pure, ugly anger.

After that, everything kind of turned into a blur. Raiden remembers standing up, even though his body was in severe pain, and charging towards the supreme. He barely recalls how the supreme looked or anything because all he cared about right there and then was to take him down.

However, the supreme must have done something... because, after that, he can't remember anything.

Did it actually happen? Or is he dreaming? It could have been a nightmare.

He would do anything for it to be a nightmare.

But as his eyes blink and he slowly looks to the side without moving his head, he gets a glimpse of his father sitting beside the bed, holding his hands together as if he's praying.

What happened is very much real and Raiden once again feels anger fill his system.

That bastard supreme fucking created a pact with him.

Without his consent! Isn't it ironic? Everything he has talked about and complained about almost his entire life now happened to him. What exactly is the risk of that happening? He thought he was safe... why would anyone pick him? He's nothing special.

No matter who that bastard is, he's going to get a piece of Raiden's mind that's for sure.

Raiden looks back up at the ceiling since he still can't move and Haru doesn't seem to have noticed he has woken up yet.

The roof looks unfamiliar, but Raiden is quick to figure out where he is. If he forgot to mention, there's also another part of the pact between humans and supremes that he dislikes very much. The fact that they can not be away from each other for more than one day without experiencing severe sequelae.

It's no doubt that Raiden will be on the verge of dying if he isn't close to this supreme at least once a day. And guess what? The supremes did that to make sure their humans couldn't run away in the past.

Supremes are disgusting.

Still, Raiden would do anything to get away. He knows he's inside the supreme's house right now... he knows that this monster is walking around somewhere inside this building, but he still doesn't have the slightest chance to do anything.

With a determined mind, he slowly starts moving his fingers. It seems that whatever took him out is slowly wearing off.

Haru finally seems to feel that and quickly opens his eyes in surprise. He almost jumps on top of Raiden to look down and see if he's awake. Their eyes meet and Raiden slowly opens his mouth. Unfortunately, he can't say anything.

Immediately, the tears start to run their way down Haru's cheeks and they seem to have been held in for a while. They rush down and drop on to Raiden's chest, which makes the younger want to reach up and pull his father into a hug.
