Raiden stands before the huge door, trying to gain the will to open it. When he does, his life living with Seki will officially begin. It's Monday, so he has five days to spend here before he can go home on the weekend.

With a gulp and a quick mental note to himself to keep calm, he opens the door and steps inside. At first, he's alone to take off his jacket and shoes. But as he's sitting down and undoing his shoelaces, he hears a door slowly crack open from the back of the entrance hall near the stairway.

Just great...

He forces himself not to react, even though he has an idea who it is. His back is still towards Seki as the man enters the area and the younger just stays focused on his shoes instead of paying the other any attention.

"Welcome back," the soft voice of the supreme emerges through the room. In a big entrance like this with only a few pieces of furniture, his voice almost echoes off the walls and back into Raiden's ears multiple times. What an annoyingly small detail Raiden already knows is going to become a pet peeve for him.

"Thanks," Raiden mumbles annoyed, "didn't need a greeting though."

As he says that, he stands up with his feet now free and his shoes in his hands. He puts on the slippers that are waiting for him beside the door before nicely placing his shoes beside Seki's. On the way, he grabs his bag and throws it carelessly over his shoulder.

Just ignore him.

He walks in the direction of the stairs, not even sparing the elder man who's standing by the side a glance. Raiden is able to see him from the corner of his eye, but he doesn't notice the sad and depressing look in the other's gaze. And even if he did, it probably wouldn't have changed anything.

Seki slowly looks after the male as he starts climbing the stairs, not minding his new housemate a single thought.

Not that Seki would expect him to though. The supreme slowly glances toward the floor, trying to suppress the pressure on his chest that makes it harder for him to breathe. So stupid. He's so stupid.

He forces the sensation he felt when he first saw Raiden to reappear, even if it was just for a split second, to calm his heart down.

"What are you standing here for?" it's Yua who suddenly appears beside Seki. The male takes a deep breath and fixes his posture which started to slump intact with the overwhelming sensation of guilt filling his body.

He smiles gently down at her, but it doesn't really reach his eyes.

"Just... wasting some time admiring the architecture," he states. It's true that the entrance hall is an architectural masterpiece in itself, but he has lived here for almost 5800 years, so there isn't really anything new for him to see here.

Yua however, has already forgotten how old Seki is and what he is for that matter. In her head, he's just a normal person like her. She never really realizes Seki doesn't age and that he hasn't done that in thousands of years.

Somehow, Seki is grateful for the eyes Yua has on him. They aren't hateful, judgmental, or angry like everyone else's. She's the only person in this world who doesn't loathe Seki's very being, that's what he has convinced himself is the truth after all these years of complete loneliness.

He deserves to be alone. Still, it's nice to have a person beside you who doesn't know who you are or what skeletons you might have in the closet. It might sound bad, but Seki gets to have just a little bit of company because of this old lady, so he can't help but be grateful for it, no matter the circumstances.

"Would you like some food dear?" Yua asks, gently placing her hand on Seki's arm. The male honestly feels like crying, but he barely remembers the last time he shed a tear. It must at least have been a thousand years. But every time someone shows kindness towards him, he's on the edge of crying because it does not happen very often.
