"That's... fucking insane, that got to be bullshit..." Misaki says as he stares at Raiden with big eyes, trying to run over the words that just left this man's mouth in his head.

"I saw it myself," Raiden mumbles, "He isn't lying."

It's currently Friday and yesterday Raiden learned about Seki's powers. He decided to completely avoid the elder this morning, which luckily wasn't a problem because Seki was nowhere to be found. However, he couldn't hold himself back from telling everything about the man's power to his friends this morning.

It still hasn't quite settled in his head how strong Seki actually is. Raiden has been brainstorming on what Seki could possibly be capable of... maybe he can even track Raiden or something? Maybe read his thoughts?

There are still so many unanswered questions, but he doesn't feel like talking to the other any time soon. He can't believe Seki can actually go back in time but he still won't do it... but Raiden has realized that maybe the elder is right about some things. It might cause more trouble to change the past, but there got to be a way around it, right?

For Seki to dismiss the idea immediately is frustrating.

"No wonder people don't know what his powers are," Kei adds to the conversation, "As if you would believe that a person can do everything. There are some laws of physics getting bend to a whole other level for that to be possible..."

"It's scary," Raiden mumbles, "But also quite amazing. I'm sure I would have been fascinated if he hadn't locked me up like this."

Raiden lifts his arms so his tattoos are visible. The one on his neck is covered by a turtle neck shirt he brought from home a few days ago. It's like the tattoo around his neck is humiliating on a whole other level. He's not a fucking dog, so he tends to try and cover it up more than the others.

"It's incredible! I want to see him do something crazy one day," Misaki says, suddenly excited. Raiden huffs a little, "Well you won't be getting that chance through me."

Misaki rolls his eyes a little and leans closer to the other on the other side of the table, "Raiden, I know you don't like him. But going against him and fighting back against something that can not be changed won't really help you, will it? It's not like you have to be married to him... just enjoy the money and the fame while you have it, right? And get some inside knowledge!"

Misaki has always been a bit of a gold digger and he has never hidden this fact. He will not make himself or the world better than it is. People might go on and on about how money can't buy you happiness, but it surely can buy you a stress-free life and Misaki is determined to not live his life by drowning in work.

Call him selfish and lazy, but that's not going to change his mind. He will fool the system if he needs to, which is also why the whole pact-system is like a dream for him.

"I don't care, I can't function in a room with someone like that," Raiden says. He tends to have a hard time seeing the good in others, probably since everything that happened with Shiro. It's hard to trust someone again and believe that they do not have bad intentions.

That's why he's so pessimistic and trying to go against everything. He fears it's the only way he will be able to keep himself safe.

"Lucky that you will be seeing your father tonight," Kei says. It's true, the weekend has finally come and Raiden can go back home. He can't wait for that to happen, but he has to go back to Seki's place to pick up some stuff before that.

He kind of dreads having to do that considering he and Seki left on a bad note. Well, they always leave on a bad note, but yesterday was triggering in particular. Raiden still feels like he lost the entire argument and on top of that, he feels like a child for freaking out.
