"I know you don't like it Raiden, but just look at yourself," Haru says with a pained voice as he sits on the edge of the bed, "I can't live with you being this sick all the time."

Raiden is sitting against the headboard, his eyes closed and his body completely slumped back. His father just explained to him what they are planning to do in order for him to live a somewhat normal life.

In the end, he thinks he would rather spend the weekends with his father, considering Haru works a lot in the afternoons so they wouldn't be able to see each other much if he chose to do it the other way around.

He hates that he has to make this choice, but his father is right... he can't keep getting himself sick just because he's stubborn.

His stubborn side of him has always been a hazardous characteristic.

"Okay..." Raiden slowly opens his eyes and looks at his father that might be appearing even sicker than he is, just that of worry instead of illness, "I guess I don't have any other choice."

Raiden knows that Seki is sitting in their living room right now, waiting for an answer. But Raiden just needed to speak with his father alone and he honestly doesn't have the energy to pay attention to that guy.

Ironic right, considering Seki is the one giving him energy right now.

But mental and physical energy are two very different things and the first one is what Raiden is missing out on the most. These past few days have been a nightmare and he's starting to realize he might be partly to blame for that.

Acting like a child... running away... but he's just so frustrated with the situation that he doesn't really know what he might do to avoid it. It's allowed to be upset sometimes, right? No matter your age, things still fucking hurts, you just have to mask it better.

He doesn't know if he will ever be able to forgive Seki or spend time with him, but he can live in a mansion five times a week if that's what it takes. All he got to do is spend time in the house by himself, then the pact will be satisfied and he won't need to spend time with Seki.

The pact is a weird thing and surely the rules are unfair, but he will find the escape clauses and take advantage of them. He doesn't necessarily have to be with Seki, he just needs to be at a fair distance from him. So staying in his room at the mansion shouldn't be a problem.

"You will get used to it... I hope," Haru says, "and I have been speaking with Mr. Masahiro while you were asleep, he will do whatever you wish to make you as satisfied as possible."

That's the only bonus there is to talk about in this situation. That doesn't mean that Raiden likes him one bit, but at least it isn't some crazy asshole keeping him captive and abusing him... that has been heard of before and Raiden is lucky to not be one of those.

"I will help you pack some stuff," Haru says and stands up.

Raiden knows his father will be by Seki's house for even the smallest request, so Raiden isn't worried he won't get to see his dad much. He's just scared his father will be sitting here, all alone, keeping quiet so his son won't be worried.

"And... I talked with Hana - Jared is coming back, so I will be spending some time with them," Haru smiles, almost as if reading his son's thoughts, "so you don't have to worry about me."

Jared is probably Haru's only friend, but he's originally from America, so he isn't in the country much even though he has a wife and children here. Still, it takes a bit off Raiden's shoulders that he's home at least at the beginning of this... split-home-life Raiden is about to settle with.

He just hopes he will be able to keep his temper and sanity at a reasonable level.
