And there he is... the strongest man among all supremes in the country.
Seki is wearing his usual dark clothes with a bit of purple here and there. His hair is partly pushed back as Raiden has come to figure out is one of the favorite hairstyles the supreme tends to walk around with.
He looks formal and calm as always, which makes Raiden's eyes settle on the male a little longer than they usually would.
How can the power of the strongest rank be compressed into that body?
As mentioned before, Seki is strong and has a fair amount of muscle, but somehow his body is leaner and... more slender than a usual male body. He has feminine features here and there, but somehow he's still masculine in form of broad shoulders, strong facial features, and straight posture.
Raiden is just talking back against himself, confused about the vibes he's getting from the other.
"Did you have a good day at school?" the usual question that Seki asks after greeting Raiden arrives and Raiden seems stuck in answering for a second. Some days, he never answers, so he's not surprised when Seki doesn't push or ask again, even though they have been silent for a while.
"It was fine..." Raiden suddenly says, surprising Seki. It's not often Raiden will actually answer the question nicely, he will most likely just say 'that's none of your business' or 'as if I wanna tell you.'
"That's..." Seki gulps, "Good to hear."
He clearly wasn't expecting an answer from Raiden at all, so now they are just kind of standing awkwardly in front of each other. Raiden tries to run a thought through his head that will tell him what he's supposed to say, but there isn't really a good place to start.
"I..." he begins and scratches his neck a little, "Found out about your ranking today..."
Seki tilts his head slightly, but not in a questioning way, more in an 'I know' kind of way. He had an idea Raiden would find out sooner or later though, so he acknowledges the younger's words, "I figured you didn't care much about the ranks, otherwise you would have had a different reaction when seeing me the first time."
That's right, they did get eye contact a moment before Seki created the pact. However, Raiden didn't have a reaction at the time because he had no idea who Seki was. And apparently, he's the only person to not have done so.
"Why didn't you tell?" Raiden asks. Normally, supremes take a lot of pride in their rankings and even wear clothes where their number is on or have their wrist free to show their status. Seki however, has his wrists covered and never has Raiden seen any form of self-absorbed bragging around the house.
It seems suspicious... but it might have to do with the fact that everyone hates Seki apparently. If everyone hates you, even if you are number 1, there isn't really much to brag about.
Seki's eyes drop for a second to the floor, as if he's thinking of a way to answer. As he lifts them back up and stares into Raiden's eyes, he takes a breath and begins talking, "Because it does not matter."
Alright... not the answer Raiden expected. He looks weirdly at the other, wondering how the ranking could not matter. It's one of the biggest events in the entire world.
Seki seems to notice his confusion and clears his through slightly, "It does not matter because... it will never change. I will always be number 1, until the day I die."
Number 1 until the day he dies... sure, Raiden has heard about confident and selfish supremes who brag on and on about their high ranking and fight each other all day to try and become stronger than one another.
