I was a good kid. Except when I was grounded. Which I am right now. I didn't do my homework for 5 months so this was the best my parents could do. My parents were going out tonight so they got a babysitter for Adrian.
"I still don't understand why I can't babysit him myself!" I said to my mum.
"Because you need to do your homework. And you can't do both at the same time. Plus, the babysitter is kinda cute" she teased.
"Uggghhhh. You better be right about the babysitter though" I laughed. I went upstairs to start my homework. I have three subjects to do. Maths, English and P.E. HOW DO YOU DO P.E ON PAPER??? The doorbell rang signalling the babysitter was here.
"Daaaaaaan! He's heeeerree" my dad called.
"Coming!" I said closing my textbook and leaving my room.
"Dan, this is Phil. Adrian's babysitter" my mum said, pointing at a tall kid with a similar haircut as me except in black. Mum was right. He is cute.
"Hey" I said casually.
"Hi" he said back.
"Ok, Phil. Dan needs to do homework so don't let him out. Adrian needs to go to bed at 8 and there's money for pizza over there. Bye guys! And Dan, keep your flirting on the down low" my mum said whispering the last part to me so no one could hear it. But I'm pretty sure Phil heard it since his face is red and he's staring at me. Great. My parents left and it was just me, Adrian and Phil in the hallway.
"K well I'm gonna go do homework" I said going upstairs. I went into my room and sat down at my desk. I looked a little bit to my left and saw my laptop. Tempting. I reached over to it when I heard a knock on my door.
"I WASNT DOING ANYTHING" I yelled. I heard a chuckle and I looked behind me to find Phil standing there smiling.
"Oh it's just you. Come in" I said.
"Oh my god! You like Muse too?" Phil asked surprised.
"Yeah. I'm guessing you do too?" I asked. He nodded.
"Soooo what homework are you doing?" He asked, sitting down beside me.
"Stupid homework" I answered. He chuckled again.
"I'm kidding its maths, English and P.E" I told him.
"How do you do P.E on paper?" He asked.
"I don't even know" I said shaking my head.
"Ok well I'm going to leave you to do your homework. Have fun." He said leaving.
"Goodbye beautiful" I whispered.
"What?" He asked
"Nothing" I said turning back to my homework. I finished my maths after about 30 minutes.
"I think I need a break" I told myself getting up. It was 8:30 so Adrian was in bed. I went downstairs and saw Phil sitting on the couch on his phone.
"Yo" I said going into the lounge.
"Yo" he said back.
"Watcha doin?" I asked sitting next to him.
"I'm on Tumblr" he said looking up.
"Nice." I told him. My phone buzzed. I took it out and it was a text from Andrew.
