Vio and Shadow (Four Swords)

This isn't the next part to Finding Shadow. I mentioned how Vio knew that Shadow would cut and I got an idea for it. So this is it. I'm not doing Recovery until I figure out the idea with Shadow's dragon because if that happens it'd be in that chapter or hinted at the end.

Vio's pov:

I wandered the fire temple aimlessly. Well not exactly aimlessly, I was trying to find Shadow. I needed to find out as much as I could before I betrayed him. I didn't want to betray him..... but I need to. For Hyrule. Despite this what Shadow told me slipped in my head. 'He told you he trusts you. The first person he trusts is you.' (Fun fact this is actually in the book) Guilt slipped in my gut. I shook my head to disband my thoughts. 'That doesn't matter... not right now anyways.' I wandered lost in thought until I ran into a hinxoe. Literally ran into one. He looked at me questioningly. "Sorry I wasn't looking were I was going... Uh could you lead to me Shadow Link?" I nervously asked. Looking at these seven feet bomb throwing things creeped me out, it being so close didn't help. He nodded and motioned me to follow him. I followed him keeping my distance until he lead me to a door. "He doesn't want to be bothered. Be careful purple one." The hinxoe's gravely voice said before walking away. "It's Vio darn it." I mummered at his retreating form. 'Doesn't want to be distributed huh? I would why?' I cautiously press my ear to the door. Being careful not to press my weight on it. Wait..... is that crying? Is someone in the room with him? Is someone else crying? Or... is it Shadow? I pull away more confused than I started. I raised my hand to knock but my hand pulled away from it. I hesitated for a minute. 'Come on Vio stop being ridiculous.' I knocked loudly on the door.

Shadow's pov:

I froze hearing knocking from the door. 'What do they want? I asked them not to bother me.... I.... I don't want them seeing me like this..' I wiped my tears off my face and from my eyes. I kicked the knife under the bed before going to the door. I pressed my weight against the door. "What do you want?" My voice cracked slightly despite how much I pushed it not to. "It's me Vio. Can I come in?" 'Vio? What does he want?' I was expect a hinxoe or maybe one of the dragons but not him. 'I definitely can't afford to let him see this.' I know I said I trust him... and I do... I really do... but nobody can know about this. I glanced down at my exposed arm. Blood was still spilling from the cuts. Crimson against my pale skin. "Shadow?" Vio's voice rang out reminding me he was still here. 'Shoot I waited too long! He definitely knows something so up now!' "What do you want Vio?" I asked ignoring the silence that rang out previously.

Vio's pov:

"What do you want Vio?" Shadow asked me completely ignoring that he was silent for so long. 'Something's definitely up... but what?' Worry began to fill me. 'Wait! Why I worried! He's the enemy dang it!' "I just wanted to talk.... are you alright?" I said trying to use my worry to convince him to at least step out of the room. "I'm fine!" Shadow snapped. 'He responded quick.... too quick.' "Shadow open the door." I called out trying to open the door. "Shadow unlock the door!" I yelled again after finding it's locked. "Just leave me alone Vio." Shadow's voice was quieter than before signaling he was farther in the room. "Shadow don't make me break down the door!"

Shadow's pov:

'Is he seriously gonna break down the door?' I thought nervously. He can't be serious... right? A thump came from the door. 'Holly heck he's serious!' "Alright alright! I'll open the door!" I pull down my sleeve over my arm. 'Hopefully it doesn't bleed through.... too bad anyways.' I glanced at the white fabric. I sighed and unlock the door. I didn't open it and just walked away. Vio opened the door shortly and rubbed his shoulder. 'Oh my goddesses he actually tried...' I glanced at him wondering his mental health. 'It might be worse than mine and my self esteem combined!'
