Jack
The last bell rang and I quickly pushed my way through the crowd.
"Elsa" I say as I grab her wrist.
"What is it Jack?" She asks looking up at me.
"Did you tell anyone? Everybody's been avoiding me" she pulled her wrist away.
"Don't worry kid your secret is safe" she says irritated.
"Why is everyone mad at me?"
"I don't know why don't you go ask them? The only person told one person and she can keep a secret" I stop and think, she just said a she so it must be a girl, is it Punzie? I come back to reality and look her in the eyes.
"I blame you for this" I say coldly and begin to walk towards the exit.
"Of course!" She says and slaps her thigh. "It's always my fault" she's not yelling or shouting but I'm close enough to hear her. I reach the school doors and open them but I take a quick glance at Elsa who had her arms crossed glaring at me. I wince a little, what just happened?
I was opening the door to my car when I saw Hiccup saying bye to his friends. He began walking on the sidewalk heading home.
"Hey!" I shout and get in my car. I drive and reach to where he is walking. I drive slowly and open my window. "Hiccup!" I call out. "Hic-Up! Hic-Up! Hic-Up! Hic-Up!Hic-Up! Hic-"
"What?!" He asked annoyed and faces me. " You sound as if you actually had hiccups."
"Want a ride?"
"No" he said continuing to walk.
"What?" I continue to drive side by side with him. "It's freezing out here. How come?"
"Because, something happened between you and Elsa and she's hurt so we kinda blame you for all of this" he says looking ahead.
"That snitch!" I hit the breaks and jump out of the car. "Look I didn't mean to kiss her okay? And she kissed back so it's her fault as much as it is mine!" I say once I step in front of Hiccup.
"You two what?!" He asked surprise. Crap, maybe Elsa was saying the truth.
"Wait, you didn't know?" He shook his head. "Hiccup, please. You can't tell anyone about this. Elsa and I are meeting up tomorrow to settles things out and even by then, don't tell anyone"
"Not tell anyone? What about Punzie or Hans?" He asked waving his arms around in the air frantically. "I mean your basecally cheating on her with her cousin!" He shouts.
"Hiccup shut up you idiot!" I whisper yell.
"You are a cheater!" he says as if it's the worst thing ever.
"I'm not a chea-"
"You are a f*cking cheater!" He says rapidly. I need to calm him down.
"Okay, okay i admit it, it is cheating but it was only one kiss! I don't even like Elsa!" I say putting my arms in the air.
"Then..why did you kiss her?" He asks.
"Ugh!" I say frustrated and get back in my car only this time I dot my even say another word to Hiccup.
Elsa
That idiot! The nerve he has, ugh! He's seriously blaming me for all of this? Is it my fault because I kissed back? Ugh. I can't even walk home after school without thinking about that stupid kiss. it was one kiss, who cares? It's was like a kiss for play or something.
"Elsa!" I hear someone call. I look back and see Punzie running towards me. Great..
"Hi" she says once she's caught up to me.
"Hi, uh I'm not really in the mood right now-"
"I think I'm breaking up with Jack" she says quickly.
"Wait what?" I ask unconvinced.
"I don't know what happened between you two but it was obviously something bad since you two aren't talking anymore, and Jack won't tell me anything."
"Punzie, maybe it's for the best that you don't know what happened-"
"Why? It's not like you guys made out or something" I froze and my eyes widened. After a couple of steps she turns around to face me. "What are you doing?"
"I, uh-"
"Wait did you guys actually make out?" She asked.
"Punzie I..." she found out on her own. I don't know if i should lie or tell her the truth. "Look, it was one kiss" I say and she sits down on a bench. "Are you mad?" I ask.
"Not at you" she says. "I mean I always knew Jack had feelings for you, and not me. And to be honest, it wasn't working out anyways" I sit next to her on the bench.
"So you forgive me?"
"Of course I do" she smiles at me. "But I'm still breaking up with Jack, he could've just told me about this instead of hiding it. I understand, it happens especially to close friends."
"Yeah" I say relieved. I'm so happy I have an understanding cousin.
"I'll break it off with him tomorrow and-"
"No, no, no, no Punzie you can't break up with Jack" I say.
"Why not?"
"He'll be devastated, and if Jack finds out that you found out about the kiss through me then-"
"Are you saying that Jack actually cares about me?" She asks curios.
"I mean, he's trying to keep your relationship alive" I say. She lets out a sigh.
"Fine" she says. "But if this keeps up, you know what I have to do" I nodded.
"Totally" I say. we get up and begin walking home. When it's time for us to split up we hug and wave goodbye. I just can't believe she's so cool about this. I get home and open the door. I plop myself on the couch and begin watching tv.
"How was school?" I hear a voice say.
"It was okay I guess" I say not looking up. "I need your help Susie, how do I-" I look up and see that the figure is my mother. "Mom" i say and quickly stand up.
"Sit down" she says in her normal soft and gentle voice. I do as she says and she sits down next to me. "Wheres Anna?" She asks.
"She out, with her friend" I respond. "At the mall" there was an awkward silence for a while and then suddenly she decided to speak.
"I'm sorry Elsa" she says. "I'm sorry I yelled at you and for everything else."
"Mom it's okay- what do you mean by everything else?"
"This company" she says. "Your father and I tried out best to give you two the best life possible. But, we failed. We're never home and we barely see you girls" she sighs. "For crying out loud, I didn't know you were dating Hans or who Hans was ever since you told me last night."
"Mom it's okay, really."
"No Elsa it's not, the things going on right now just aren't right and it's going to add up to the bad things we've done to you girls."
"What-" I stop myself. Should I even bother? Everything I ask what's happening they shut me out or tell me that I'll find out when the time is right. Mo mom sheds a tear, and then another.
"I really tried" she says. This is horrible. It doesn't matter how strong or tough you are. Or how rich and famous you are, seeing your mother cry is the worst thing on earth especially if your the cause of it.
"Mom, it's okay really" I hug her. "You've done your best" we pull apart and I wipe away her tears. "I'll admit it that we've missed you two, but because of what your doing we have a roof over our head, food on the table, you and dad are still happily married. You two taught us to be kind and to donate charities, you guys made us and you were able to do so because of this company" she smiles at me.
"Speaking of donating, how would you like to be in charge of the children's toy drive this year?"
"Really?" I ask. "yes! Oh, i need to start soon. Christmas is in 3 weeks" I say happily. "thank you" I hug her.
"Thank you" she says.
