Jack
"I called ahead to the hospital, they'll be on the roof waiting for us. How's the guy doing?"
"He's still breathing" I feel someone force my eye open just to see a bright light shine on my face. "His pupils are still responding. The bleeding is minor now"
"Lucky bastard" another voice says.
"Alright" the first voice says, "we need to work fast, as soon as we land we need to get him into an OR"
"We don't even know his name" the third voice says.
"You think that matters Jake?" The second voice says.
"Don't have to be rude" Jake says. "How long till we land Mason?"
"2 minutes" The first voice, Mason says. It's loud and shaky. I'm in a helicopter, that's the last thing I remember. I feel the copter land and then cold air hits me. We must be on top of the hospital. I feel the gurney roll, bumpy at first then smooth. I hear a ding, then I'm rolled again. I feel my stomach fly slightly, must be in an elevator. There's another ding then I'm rolled again only this time faster. "Talk to me" a new voice appears.
"Dr.Allen" I recognize the voice, Mason. "Head trauma, was conscious, pupils are responding" I feel someone force my eye open again and then a light shines on me.
"Not anymore" Allen says. "We need to get him into surgery immediately, no time to scrub in. Page another neuro, this guy was lucky. Should've been dead before you found him." He pauses before yelling, "hold the elevator and tell the team we're coming! Out of the way people! Move it!"

Elsa"Els?" Dare says walking in. I lift my head and look up at her. I'm in the ICU, sitting on a chair with my head resting on Jacks bed. I must've fallen asleep.
"Sorry" I say and rub my eyes. I look at Jack in hopes that he's awake but I was only disappointed.
"Don't do this to yourself" she says, "he might not wake up, and you know that."
"But he will wake up" I say. She gives me a lopsided smile and walks out the room. I look at Jack and hold his hand. "You're going to wake up" I say.
"You're still here?" Dr.Allen says walking in with a clipboard. "Weren't you supposed to be home by now?"
"I don't really have a home" I say. It's true, I lived in NY for the past 4 years, and my parents aren't really an option right now.
"Do you have someone you can call?" He says checking the machines hooked to Jack. "Friends, family?"
"Actually..I do have a place to stay" I just realized, Jacks place. I've never been there but I know where it is, he probably has a spear key or something. "Do you know where you guys put his things?" I ask standing up.
"What like clothes, phone?" I nod. "Yeah, it's in the storage, just head down there and give them some ID"
"But my all of my things are out in storage" I say and point at the hospital gown I wear. (This one covers everything) (PERVS). He walks over to the other side of Jack and lifts his arm pointing at his hospital bracelet. I look down at my right am and finally catch on. I mouth an 'oh' then walk out.
As Allen said, I went to the storage room and showed the guy my hospital bracelet. He gave me my things and since I said I was related to Jack, he gave me his as well. (Not really trustworthy). I went back to my room, kind of excited to see what I'd find in my bag. I hardly remember the crash, so I definitely don't remember what we're in my pockets at the time. It's weird but nothing interesting, other than guts flying out of people, happens
in this hospital.I searched the bag and here's what I found. A broken phone, two dollars, and a piece of gum. Wow I am a boring person. I look in Jacks bag and I found way more interesting things. A really old coin, a cheeto, a broken phone, a laser pointer, his keys and a wallet. Inside the wallet was the usual ID and a picture of Emma. Not much more interesting but interesting, plus I found his house keys.
I examined the picture of Emma, she looks about 3 years old In it. I smile, I miss her. It suddenly hits me now, where are Jack's parents? Did they even come? Do they even know?

"You're his wife, does it matter?" She says folding my bed sheets."It does!" I say to DrDare. "They are his parents, you called my parents"
"Because your sister isn't married, and she's still under their care."
"But still, aren't they in charge of his life? Aren't they the ones who decide keep trying or stop?" She stops and looks at me.
"No" she shakes her head, "you are. You're in charge of calling his parents. Of course we would call them, but only if you were unconscious. But since you are conscious" she says picking up dirty sheets, "you are in charge of his life" she walks out the room leaving me dumbfounded. I sit on the recently made bed and she pops her head back in "don't get on that bed Elsa Frost. I just Madrid and you are discharged." She says in a sassy voice.
I get up and sit on a chair instead and she nods before leaving again. Crap, I never thought about it before, I'm Mrs.Frost. I'm Mrs.Frost, married to Mr.Frost. We signed a couple of papers and now I'm in charge of his life?! "This is really happening" I say to myself. I look at the hospital phone and pick it up. I remember their number, it's been the same ever since I was a tween.
Do I really want to do this though? How would they react? Their son is married, he's in the hospital and can die at any moment. And they didn't know about it, because I didn't call them...how will his mom react? She's been mad at me since Jack was in the car accident. Now we're back together and he's in the hospital again. I can't just sit here and not call them, they deserve to know.
I dial the number and luckily his father picked up. "Mr.Frost? This is is Elsa"
