Elsa
"You idiot!" I shout and slap his arm.
"Ow! Hey! Nurse put her out again" he jokes.
"I cross my arms and look away from him."
"Hey...what's wrong?" He asks softly leaning closer to me.
"You flatlined" I say and look at him, "your heart stopped beating, you almost left us"
"Us?"
"No. It was your stupid idea to go to Africa-"
"Wait-"
"I was in charge of you!"
"In charge?"
"Yes, in charge of your life, my decisions could've killed you. It could've been my fault, and the-"
"Elsa!" He interrupts and I look at him. "Slow down" He chuckles. "You sound like Anna."
"Don't leave me" I jump up and hug him.
"Never" he says and hugs back. "Just not too hard, I have a broken rib apparently" I pull away and chuckle. "I love you" he says.
"I love you too" I smile. "Your head is bleeding" I gasp looking at the red stained bandage that was wrapped around his head.
"Oh, that's old. You've been asleep for a while snowflake"
"How long?"
"Long enough for me gain consciousness and talk to everyone" I sigh and lay back on my pillow then look up at him.
"Jack, I'm pregnant" I say and his eyes widen and he stares across the room. "It somehow survived the crash, and I don't know" he remains quiet. "Please say something" I begin to get teary and grab onto his hand and he looks at it, then back at me.
"We're having a baby?" He asks.
"Do you want-? I don't know, there are a lot of options but Jack, it survived the crash, i-it's a-"
"Baby" he smiles. "My baby, you're having my fricken baby!" He shouts. "I'm gonna be a da-"
"Shh!" I cover his mouth while laughing.
"Elsa we're going to be parents" he whispers while smiling. His smile then fades when he realizes what he had just said. "Holy shit I'm going to be a parent. I-I'm not ready, I'm going to screw this up."
"Please Jack, you're going to be the best dad ever."
"Damn, a dad" he thinks out loud then looks back at me. He gives me a kiss that catches me off guard then touches my stomach and laughs. I put my hands over his and smile. We can do this. I'm happy. Our baby is alive, and we're going to have a family.

"You will not believe this" I say walking in Rapunzels room. "Jack's awake" I say.
"What? The great!" Eugene says.
"That's really awesome" Punzie says not looking away from her book.
"Really awesome? Since when do you say awesome?"
"I don't know, since today" she says still not looking away. That's when I realized.
"Wait, Punz, your arms, you're holding a book."
"Yeah, no biggie" she says.
"Yes it's a biggie, you're not-" she slams the book against her lap.
"Not completely paralyzed, I.Get.It."
"Punzie, what's wrong?"
"Els, I think you should-"
"No Eugene" she interrupts, "she wants to know what's wrong. Well Elsa, there's a million things that are wrong, Eugene developed azma, my baby died in the crash-"
"You were?-"
"I can't move my legs, and Merida is leaving soon" she continues.
"Leaving?"
"So that's it Elsa, things worked out for you, like it always does. You get a baby, and I don't" she says and opens up her book and continues reading.
"This is too much for me to process" I say and Eugene stands up and leads me out the door. "When was she-?"
"3 times in the past couple of months" he says. "They said she's not 'fit' to carry a child."
"Oh Eugene, I'm sorry. But there are other options"
"You think I don't know that? This is Rapunzel we're talking about. She's dreamed of having a baby before we were even married. Elsa, I'm happy for you, but Rapunzel is just not in the mood. She's right too, she can never walk again, and bringing it up doesn't help."
"I'm sorry, I really am. I didn't know"
"It's fine, just tell Jack we said hi" he says and turns to walk back in the room.
"Wait Eug, what did she mean about Merida leaving soon"
"Didn't she tell you? She's leaving as soon as she's checked out"
"Leaving where?"
"She won't say" he says and walks back into the room.
