"You're released until further notice"
"Thank you" my father says. We get up and walk outside. The car ride home was quiet. My parents didn't talk to me and Emma just stared out of the window. I awkwardly sat there not knowing what to do. "I'm sorry" I manage to say. "I was only doing it because-"
My dad stops the car and the family gets out leaving me alone in the car. I get out and my mom opens the door and we enter. Emma goes upstairs to her room and my parents turn around and look at me. "Sit" my dad says.
I do as he says and sit on the couch. They stand in front of me with their arms crossed. The disappointed look on their faces is torturous enough, no punishment or lecture needed, it kills me. "What you did today was wrong" he says. They look at each other and then back at me. They go to the kitchen and continue as if none of this happened. I'm confused, was that it? No punishment? Just a 'what you did today was wrong'? I get up and cautiously follow them.
"Was that it?" I ask my mom. She continues to wash a dish ignoring my question. "Mom?" She finishes and put it on the drying rack and wipes her hand. She then goes upstairs. I walk over to my dad who's wiping the counter. "Why isn't she talking to me?" I ask.
"You know your mother Jackson. you disappointed her and she's trying to let it go"
"She hates me" he throws the dish towel on the counter.
"She doesn't hate you and you know it"
"Emma hates me"
"You do not get to feel bad for yourself. You put yourself in this position and your not even trying to help."
"How am I supposed to help? You want me to build new toys? Bake cookies?"
He gave me a look that 'what do you think?' I sigh.
"The flours in the pantry and the cook book is on the shelf" he says and goes upstairs.
Elsa
"Thank you" I say as they leave.
"No problem Els" Merida hugs me.
"Just remember this next year" Trevor says making me giggle.
"You owe me" Luke says.
"Whatever" I hug him and they leave. My parents are asleep and Anna passed out on the couch about 30 minutes ago. I walk over all sleepy and shove her legs out and drop on the couch. I close my eyes attempting to sleep but Anna's snoring is too loud. I grab a pillow and throw it at her and it kind of blocks it out. Right now, all I want to do is sleep.

"Elsa wake up!"
"Anna" I groan. "Go back to sleep"
"Elsa please! I'm not joking, this is serious!" She sounded desperate. I open my eyes and look up at her. I scratch my eyes clearing my vision, she had tears in her eyes. My parents stood behind, my father hugging my mom.
"What's going on?"
"Elsa" my mom notices that I'm awake. She walks over and my dad follows behind. I look back at Anna.
"What happened?" I say in a stern voice. She looks back at my parents and my mom shakes her head. She looks back at me and hesitates.
"Jack...didn't go home" I sit up straight and lean closer. "He-"
"Don't" my mom says. Anna stays quiet.
"He what? What happened?!"
"He got in a car accident" my dad steps forward. We all look at him and my mom glares. "He went out last night and a drunk driver drove at him" I gasp and cover my mouth. Tears immediately began fall. I shake my head not wanting to accept it.
"No"
"He's at the hospital his family just called" my eyes widen. I get up and grab my bag.
"What are you doing?" Anna asks.
"I need to find my keys!"
"Elsa you are not going to that hospital"
"I'll drive you" my dad says.
"John!" My mom says. He looks at me and nods we walk out the door and to the garage.
"I'll stay here to convince mom to go" Anna says. I nod and my dad drives off.
"Daddy" I cry.
"Don't worry Elsa it'll be fine. These things happen"
"But it's my fault! He wouldn't have gone out" he looks at me with a worried look.
"We'll just have to find out when he wakes up"

"This is all my fault" I cry.
"This isn't your fault Elsa" Anna says patting my back.
"His mom won't even look at me. There must be something to do with me" I look over to his parents. His mom crying into his fathers arms. "We lost him"
"Elsa don't say that"
"But it's true Anna. He'll never be the same again, for all we know. Mom is mad and so is dad"
"Okay, but that still has nothing to do with you"
"What do you know?"
"Huh?"
"Leave alright. Just leave" I say.
"Elsa I was just try-"
"Leave" she's taken back by my harsh words. This isn't me, what am I saying? "Anna I'm sorry I'm-"
"It's okay, I get it" she gets up and walks away. I sigh and stare at my feet. This is all my fault, Jack is gone, he'll never forgive me. If I wasn't so messed up! Ugh, maybe it's best if I'm not here when I wake up, though I doubt his parents will let me in. I grab the keys and walk out the hospital doors. I've been here for 8 hours 4 of which he was in surgery. I just need to get away from all of this, mom and dad went to work. Can't believe they put work first. Gosh Elsa get it together you're becoming a monster.
"Where are you going?" Anna asks. I turn around to face her.
"I'm just gonna go get some food. This hospital food is making me sick"
"Ironic huh?" She smiles. I force a smile.
"Yeah...you can go to your friends house if you want to. You've been here long enough. I'm sure jack will understand if he wakes up"
"When he wakes up and are you sure?" I nod. "Okay..be careful" I smile and give her a thumbs up.
"Won't we all after this?"
