IT WAS THE LARGEST CITY ON EARTH. Some called it Babylon, which was its rightful name. Other's called it the 'Free City' or the 'City of Promise.' But to Akoi, those were all just that. Names.

To her, it was more than that. To her, it was home.

Babylon had housed her and the other Eternals from the day that it had been built. In a way, it was like their own creation, their own little touch to earth. Ajax had been credited for its expansion, and now Akoi had fought, bled, and cried for the city.

It was the one place on earth that she truly felt like she belonged. Here, she loved the atmosphere, and she loved all of its people.

Recently, Babylon have been attacked, but they had fended off the deviants behind it. The last of the Deviants on Earth. Because of this, some of the villagers thought it appropriate to throw them a feast at which Akoi currently resided at.

She sat by Sersi, who was her greatest friend besides Ikaris. Together they sat in the center of the city, marveling at the stories Sprite would tell, the music the locals played for them, and laughing at all the men that attempted to flirt with them.

Sersi was giggling and lightly shoving Akoi's shoulder as she once again rejected a kind, but not her type man. He was a local, a Lord, and it was not that Akoi didn't like him. She just had her sights set on someone else.

Ikaris, along with Ajax, were off watching the city instead of participating. She did not know where they went, but she had desperately looked making Kingo tease her.

"We all know that you just want to dance with him," He had said; which is true but Akoi didn't appreciate her secrets being so out in the open.

Kingo reassured her that it would be okay though, because practically everyone knew she was in love with Ikaris except for Ikaris himself.

Akoi had blushed at this, asking Sersi if it was really that obvious, but her friend only gave her a look.

"Why did you reject him?" Sersi then asked Akoi with a slight smirk, making Akoi look away. "He was a nice Lord. I'm sure you could of found happiness with him someday."

"Yes, someday," Akoi said, "and then the next he shall be gone and dead like any human being."

"Ouch," Thena came to sit by them, still wearing her white suit and drinking out of a mug Akoi assumed contained Meade. "That poor man did not deserve that," she joked, causing Akoi to giggle.
