IKARIS WAS DEAD. HE HAD FUFFILLED HIS DESTINY, HIS LEGACY with Akoi in his arms as he flew towards the sun. He let the light consume them both, leaving the remaining Eternals to grieve as the people they considered their brother and sister were gone.

The news of Akoi's sacrifice reached the rest of the world shortly after. The remaining Eternals gathered together in Ajax's old house to celebrate, and more importantly to grieve their friends.

Even though Ikaris did betray them, they knew that he was only being loyal to his master. None of them could truly hold a grudge against him, because in the end, Ikaris had chosen to follow his heart instead.

He had chosen to follow Akoi into death, which all the Eternals knew was kinder than keeping him alive without her.

Now sometimes if they looked at the sky at the right time of night, they could see two identical stars, twinkling next to each other, right next to the sun.

They named them Ikaris and Akoi.

The sun, and the fool who loved her.

A small shriek from the garden caught Akoi's attention, making her curiously put down the glass. She was watching and making her way over to the screen door where her husband and daughter were supposed to be playing.

Akoi looked out the window to see what they were doing, but a gasp left her lips as she saw a sight that she had specifically told Ikaris not to let happen.

Her husband had their daughter in his arms, tucked under his wings as he flew slowly through the skies. Little giggles could be heard even from where Akoi was standing, Luna shouting out as she spotted her mother.

"Mommy, mommy look at me! Daddy is teaching me how to fly!" She called out, and Akoi didn't know if she wanted to smile or be angry as Ikaris' eyes went wide, and he quickly flew them back down to safety.

As soon as Luna was back in the garden, she came running towards her mother, who kissed her forehead and then gave Ikaris a stern glare.

He then sheepishly scratched the back of his head and leaned in to also kiss Akoi. Akoi rejected it.

"Have you lost your mind?" She silently scolded Ikaris as Luna ran into the house for a snack. "I told you specifically not to fly with our daughter. She's too young!"

"Relax," Ikaris grabbed her face and pulled Akoi into a kiss even she couldn't resist. When he pulled away, he was smiling and tickled Akoi a little so she had no choice but to smile as well. "I had it all under control. Luna was perfectly safe with me, and besides, you didn't see the way she begged me with that cute face. You know that I can't say no to that face."

"How about this one?" Akoi put on her best poker face but it only made Ikaris grin.

"Of course, I can't say no to that face," He told her, and then leaning in gently, he put his hands on her pregnant belly and whispered, "That's how my son got in here."

"Ikaris!" Akoi laughed and pulled away from him, blushing and gently smacking his arm. Ikaris let out a laugh, and he looked around to make sure his daughter didn't hear before speaking again.

"What?" He shrugged, "it's true. We both know the exact way he was conceived."

Akoi could only shake her head at her head at her husband, knowing that most definitely was true.

They had a beautiful five-year-old daughter and now they had a son on the way. Everything that Akoi had ever wanted had came true. Their little family was almost complete, and after she gave birth she would have everything she had ever dreamed of. Made possible no thanks to Ikaris—her Ikaris that would bring her the sun itself if he thought that would make her happy.
