"WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?" AKOI WAS immediately concerned when she saw that Thena was not herself, sitting at the base of an old, dry tree, and drawing something that looked to be sinister. Akoi could not recognize anything from the drawings, but she briefly wondered if maybe they were her memories before Gilgamesh answered her again.

"We were attacked by a deviant," He explained, "And it triggered her."

Akoi watched sadly as her old friend who was once—and still was a great warrior, just not all there—continued sitting at the base of the tree until Gilgamesh called her up.

When she turned, it didn't look like she even recognized any of them. Akoi immediately saw that the whites of her eyes had taken over, Thena clearly suffering from Mahd Wy'ry.

And then, she spoke.

"You shouldn't have come here," Thena warned, before conjuring a spear. Out of instinct, Gilgamesh stepped up to stop it with his hands, while Ikaris pushed Akoi behind him to protect her.

The act was not lost on her, and though she was sort of grateful for it, she was also annoyed that Ikaris thought she couldn't handle herself. Not to mention that Akoi would never be afraid of Thena.

"Hey," Gilgamesh called out to Thena sharply, trying to get her mind back to the present. "Look at me, Thena. Look at me. Remember. I need you remember, can you do that? Can you remember for me?"

It warmed Akoi's heart to see how much their friendship had grown over the centuries, while everyone else was absent.

It also made her feel jealous since Akoi spent most of her time alone. Sprite had Sersi and Gilgamesh had Thena. She wasn't sure of Druig or Makkari or even Ikaris—but if the latter was by himself, then it was his own fault.

Akoi thought about this as she stepped from behind him. Ikaris grabbed her wrist softly, but she shrugged him off and slowly begin to walk towards Thena.

"Thena, can you hear me? It's me—Akoi," The eternal let out a watery smile as Thena begin to lower her spear, her eyes finally turning back to normal as she stared at her old friend.

For a second, no one did anything, just stood there until Thena was finally able to get her mind back. When she did, she stared at the group softly, especially Akoi.

"Hey there," Akoi said, and moved in as soon as Thena put down her spear. The goddess of war was surprised when Akoi embraced her quickly, not being afraid of her at all, but it was welcome.
