400 AD
GUPTA EMPIRE

THIS WAS IT. THEY WERE FINALLY GETTING MARRIED. After many years, Ikaris had finally asked Akoi to be his wife. It was a long time coming, but she was ecstatic for the day, nevertheless.

She still remembered every detail of it. The smell of the air as the birds sang above her. The nerves in her stomach as she waited all day for the ceremony that was taking place at night. The jokes, mainly from Thena, saying that their honeymoon would last at least a hundred years.

She remember blushing so deep, but despite Thena's antagonizing, Makkari, Sprite and Sersi were there to encourage her. Sersi singing her sweet songs as she did her hair, Sprite making illusions of her and Ikaris living a happy life.

Makkari had even stolen a token just for her to give to Ikaris on their special day. It was a medallion from the Roman empire, a token that she was going to give him to seal their love.

Likewise, he had gotten her a necklace that was made in Babylon, the beloved city that had captured her heart.

Akoi remembered exactly how she felt when they finally gifted each other their tokens, becoming man and wife that night.

She remembered how after a hundred years, Thena specifically visited them just to tell her that she was right.

She remembered it all. Thousands of years of history spent with Ikaris that molded them together like fire and steel. One simply couldn't not exist without the other. Akoi could not exist without Ikaris, and Ikaris could not exist without his sun.

THEY WERE ON AN ISLAND, AND HE WAS MAKING LOVE TO HER. It reminded her much of their first night together, the sand in between her toes as she curled them, and the soft lull of the waves as they carried her whispers of pleasure out to sea.

Ikaris first kissed her neck, and she had mewled as he made his mark, making sure that it was big enough so that others could see.

He then nibbled on her ear, thrusting deeper and making Akoi gasp. Sharp strokes of pleasure traveled to her core, Ikaris bringing her closer to her peak with each thrust of his hips.

She was seeing stars as he circled her breast with his tongue, before going upwards and whispering sweet nothing in her ear, telling her all of the things she wanted to hear.

As he moved himself inside of her, his lips kept repeating one thing over and over.

"You are mine," He told Akoi, each time thrusting into her deeper and deeper and making sure he touched every inch of her body. Akoi had no choice but to agree as her hands had laid by her side, her body writhing with pleasure beneath him.

Ikaris had grabbed her hands and held them with his own, liking how dominant it made him against her. With her underneath him like this, Ikaris was free to pleasure her anyways he liked, until her legs trembled and her sweet voice called his name over and over again.

He made her reach her peak multiple times, making sure she had tears of pleasure running down her cheeks before he even considered his own release.

Only then he finally spill himself inside of her, and Akoi had held him closely and enjoyed the way their bodies felt truly connected. She stared up at Ikaris and he wiped her tears, tasting them before making her taste herself on his lips.

When he pulled away, he pressed their foreheads together and stroked her cheek.

"Mine. My sun," He whispered to her, a promise that was supposed to last for a lifetime.

IKARIS HAD TAUGHT HER TO FLY. THEY WERE IN NEW YORK, AND AS MAD AS IT SEEMED, he had taken her to the very top of the Empire State building, told her to grab on, and suddenly Akoi was flying for the very first time.

She would have thought that being together for 5000 years at that point, there was nothing Ikaris could do to surprise her anymore. But, alas, this took her by pleasant surprise, Akoi being able to see everything in the city whilst in his arms.

She smelled the air, tasted the clouds, and saw the lights that lit up the beautiful city below them. Ikaris made sure to stay high in the sky so no one could see them, but low enough to where Akoi could still see everything.

She marveled at the lights, and the people bustling around below them. She saw everything from the bankers leaving work, to the robbers in the alley. It was like seeing one big picture of humanity, and that was probably one of her favorite moments with Ikaris.

When they got back safely on the building, he gave her a pin that remind her of that moment. It was a pin made out of pure gold, carved by Ikaris himself and stamped with the symbol of himself.

It was a symbol of Icarus, the legend that had sprouted from him. His wings expanded as he faced upwards, as if he was flying towards the sun.

Ikaris had given it to her and then he had cupped her face. Under the city lights, Akoi could read every emotion in his face and she never saw him love her more than in that moment.

"Keep this," He had said, "As a reminder that I am Ikaris and you are my sun. If my downfall was ever to be caused by anything, I wish for it to be you, my love, as I will gladly fly towards my sun and let your flames consume me if it meant being with you forever."

He placed it in her hands and then wrapped his own around them. Akoi felt him wipe a tear from her face, and it was in that moment that she realized their love would always be eternal.

It would always be Ikaris, and his sun.

Forever.
