I couldn't believe how Grant was acting. He knew I was interested in Quinn and that I had struggled with how to approach the situation. Now here he was manhandling her like they were together, and it felt like he was rubbing it in my face. I knew Quinn was just being nice, a little tipsy flirting but Grant, I wasn't one hundred percent sure at how innocent he was. When he hauled her over onto his lap, I could feel myself squeezing my glass so tight I was surprised it didn't shatter. Then he had the nerve to bring up something from our college days I thought we'd never speak of again.

"No!" Quinn spoke, jumping up off Grant's lap. "Don't go. This isn't...he's just being silly, trying to make you jealous. I'm sorry." Her beautiful face was full of guilt. "Stay; let's chat and sober up, then you can give me a ride back home." Her hazel eyes locked with mine, pleading for me to agree.

"Sounds like a solid plan," Grant smirked, shifting in his seat, and adjusting his erection. Quinn may not have noticed, but I sure as fuck did. I knew he wanted her, no matter how much he tried to deny it.

"Wanna tell me about college?" She asked innocently enough. She had no idea what she was stepping into.

Quinn took a seat on the couch, pulling a blanket down with her and wrapping it up. Her eyes were all too eager to hear stories of our college days. I couldn't help but feel irritated with Grant. This night was not anything I expected. Before I could say anything else, Quinn's phone began to ring. She jumped up, retrieved it, and answered the call.

"It's fine. I'm fine. I'm with Grant and Wade." she sat back in her spot. "They're being the perfect gentlemen." She laughed. I couldn't help but glance over at Grant, who was being anything but.

I mouthed what the fuck to him, referencing his insistence in talking about college. Of course, he just smiled his typical smile and shrugged his shoulders.

"Sorry, Carrie was calling to check on me. I guess Natalia has gone home." her laughter gave me a warm and happy feeling again. "Ok, so back to you guys. College. Spill."

"There's really nothing...."

"You sure you can handle this?"

Grant and I spoke at the same time. If there was ever a time I thought I could commit murder, now was that time. I didn't want Quinn to know my filthy past. A one-time thing but she had an innocence about her, and I was afraid. What if this turned her off? What if this made her think less of me or lose interest?

"Did you murder someone? Jesus. Wade, you look like you're going to pass out. You don't have to tell me. I'm sorry, I was just trying to have fun." Quinn was genuinely apologetic.

"Wade is just a prude. We had a threesome. He's acting like it's this huge thing, but we had a threesome multiple times with the same woman."

I could feel my blood pressure rising as he spoke, my leg bouncing up and down with anxiety, waiting to see or hear her response. I nervously looked over at her, her eyes wide with shock or curiosity; I wasn't sure which.

"I mean...that's not that unusual, is it? Multiple times in one night?" She squeaked out.

"Oh no. Over a period of time, a relationship of sorts."

"Jesus, Grant!" I growled. "Shut up!"

"I'm sorry. It's ok. I don't think anything negative. I just wasn't sure where you were going with this. I didn't mean to push." Quinn began to ramble. "A lot of people do that, don't they? Threesomes and such. It's not that taboo. It's not a big deal to me; no judgment here." She continued on until it finally clicked, why Grant had brought it up, and the moment he had brought it up initially. "Oh. You..." she pointed to herself, then to me while looking at Grant. "Were you hinting at that? Oh wow." This time she stood, leaving the blanket, and walked away, pacing the floor.

"Relax!" Grant cried. "I was just messing around. Wade had no idea; we haven't even talked about that since college. I was just taking advantage of the situation; I'm sorry." He stood, walking over to Quinn. "The last thing I want to do is make you feel uncomfortable. I was just taking the jealousy thing too far; I'm sorry; truly, I am."

"It's okay. I'm fine." She stood behind the sofa, looking as if she'd seen a ghost. Before Grant could reach her, there was a knock at his door. We all glanced at each other as if we had been caught doing something nefarious.

"I thought I'd join the fun, but you all look like someone died," Carrie announced as she let herself in. She was in her pajamas, holding up a bottle of wine. "What's going on?" She looked around at each of us.

"We were just talking about our pasts, good times." Grant tried to deflect.

"If you say so. How did the dates go?" She asked directing her attention to me and Quinn.

"Fine." We both answered at the same time.

Carrie rolled her eyes before heading into the kitchen. She returned a moment later with the bottle opener and a glass. She quickly popped the bottle and poured herself a liberal serving.

"Alright, everyone, sit. I need details."

"So Denise is going to sign the contract, and that's it? Nothing else?" Carrie asked after having demanded details of the date from me. I hadn't wanted to discuss the whole Denise issue in front of Quinn like that, but she didn't give me a lot of choice. It did give me a chance to let Quinn know that there was absolutely nothing going on between Denise and me; it was purely a business dealing to help my Father.

"That's what she says. I guess we'll see if she means it."

"I guess Stevens wasn't the dreamboat you wanted?" Carrie turned toward Quinn this time. Quinn giggled, having regained her buzz with a glass of wine.

"Not even close. More like a canoe that's sinking." She cackled at her own joke with a little snort at the end. It was ridiculously adorable. I couldn't stop watching her, and when I looked, Grant was staring at her the same way.

"No date or hook-up for you tonight?"

"Nope. I worked out. I've entertained these two since you were busy, ya know." Grant winked. Quinn covered her mouth, trying to hold back a laugh, but she was unsuccessful. Carrie turned quickly, mouth agape looking at Quinn.

"Quinn thinks your girl is hot and that the two of you together is pretty hot as well." He blurted out with no remorse. Quinn's face turned a lovely shade of red; she immediately cast her eyes down in embarrassment.

"How did you? You saw?" Carrie gasped.

"Sorry!! I wasn't trying to! I heard noises and glanced in the window to see what was going on. I called Grant to hang out so I wouldn't interrupt. I didn't realize what a big mouth he is." That earned a deep laugh from me, Quinn had been around him enough by now that she should've known Grant couldn't keep his mouth shut to save his life.

"What are you laughing at?!" Quinn squealed. "We learned that you two like to share a woman!"

The room fell silent when she shared this news. Carrie knew nothing of our college adventure, and by the look on her face, she was quite shocked.

"I have clearly missed a lot tonight. I expect to hear the full story, every dirty detail."

"No." I immediately spoke. "It was a fling in college, that was it. Nothing more to discuss."

"Ohhh, there is so much more to discuss. I want details. What did she look like? How does that work? Both of you with her at the same time?"

"Fucking hell Carrie." I ran my hand down my face.

"What?! A girl needs to know these things."

"You know all you need to know. This conversation is over." I jumped up and headed out. Having stopped drinking hours ago and chugging water, I was more sober than when the night began. I'd have enough of this talk. I felt embarrassed and called out; this wasn't something to discuss as a group. We were grown adults, not sex-starved college students. I could hear Carrie calling after me, apologizing, but I continued on. I needed a break, the tension was too much.
