Grant
Wade broke everything down, explaining it all in detail. Quinn was clearly overwhelmed and had to process things and took a step outside. My instinct was to go to her, but Carrie told both of us to let her handle it. So, we did. I took the opportunity to have Wade really break down some of the details for me. I couldn't believe the detective work he had put into the whole thing.
"I'm impressed. I had no idea you had these PI skills." I hopped up, heading into the kitchen to finish up the dinner I had started preparing. I knew that everyone had to be getting hungry at this point.
"You know how business is; you investigate the shit out of companies before you decide on deals. I just used those same tactics."
"I can't believe you paid out the Scholts contract. Does this mean we'll be seeing you at the office?" Pulling the chicken and vegetables out of the oven, I turned to grab some plates down so that when the girls returned, we could eat.
"Absolutely not. I already spoke to my Father about it too. I told him to consider it a retainer if I ever need consulting services." His smirk turned into a full smile as the girls entered the kitchen. "You okay?" He asked Quinn, pulling her into his embrace. She nodded before nuzzling his neck. I smiled over at Carrie, and we both prepared for dinner.
"Thank you so much for cooking." Quinn was so sweet as she pushed her food around her plate.
"You're welcome; I'd feel better though, if you actually ate." I teased. We all sat around the large kitchen island, eating quietly. It reminded me of that first night when we learned the truth about Quinn.
"Sorry." Her smile was weak and didn't reach her eyes. "I'm just trying to believe this is all really done, all of these constant issues popping up."
"I promise you; it's done," Wade spoke up. "Rex is gone; he's not coming back, ever. Ben was arrested right in front of me earlier, the people who helped find out the information, and myself, we'll all be speaking with law enforcement and he will be going away too."
"I say we toast to that." Carrie held her glass. Eventually, the others followed suit and we held a toast to the end of that chapter for Quinn, for all of us.
The next few months seemed to fly by, and we all seemed to get back into our typical routine. Work was amazing without the stress of Scholts and Denise. Wade had cooperated with the detectives, and Ben realized he had no other choice took some kind of plea deal relating to his laundry list of charges. Quinn fortunately only had to make a statement and the whole issue was done as painlessly as possible.
In that time, our relationship with Quinn had only grown. We spent nights cuddled on the couch watching movies, Quinn's head laying in my lap, her feet in Wade's, or vice versa. We made dinners together and almost every night, we spent either at my place or Wade's. Tonight though, she was having a girls' night with Carrie while Wade and I planned the surprise vacation for her.
"I've got the villa booked. Everything will be stocked, and we have our choice of activities while there. Any luck with the flight?" Wade asked, sitting across from me at the table.
"Yep, I booked it this morning. This time next week we will be relaxing in our overwater villa in Bora Bora." A thought crossed my mind though and I couldn't help but think out loud. "What if she freaks out and doesn't want to go?" I wasn't usually a nervous person, but with Quinn, everything was different. She made me nervous, in a good way. I wanted to make sure things were perfect for her, I wanted to make her the happiest woman on the planet. It sure didn't hurt that I got to do this with my best friend.
We'd faced a little gossip as we started going out more together, now that Wade's Father knew and with everything that had gone on during the court cases. No one had said anything, though, just a few side glances here and there. We were comfortable with our unconventional relationship and so far, it had gone well. Wade and I were hoping the tropical trip would allow us even more time to solidify our relationship, and we were planning to ask Quinn to move in together. The location was to be determined though. We weren't sure if we wanted to all move into Wade's house or perhaps start somewhere fresh for all three of us.
"She's going to be beyond excited, and we're going to have an amazing time. Quinn in a bikini while we lounge around, fuck, I'm beyond excited." Wade laughed.
Quinn
"I think I'm drunk."
"I think I'm tipsy." I smiled over at Carrie. We were having a girls' night at our place, in our PJs hanging in the living room. We had more than enough junk food, rom-coms on the TV, and wine filling our glasses.
"Where's Natalia?" I slurred out, leaning back with my blanket.
"Working, why? Want to watch us again?" She snorted with laughter. I knew I'd never live down that moment.
"Shut up." I kicked at her, laughing as well. "I just wondered. I always have fun with her, too; she could've joined us."
"She works too much. I tried to talk her into coming over. What are the guys up to tonight? Moping around because they don't know what to do with you?"
"Who knows? They seemed like they were up to something, but I don't know what." I sat up straighter, almost sloshing my wine out of the glass. "I do have something.. I wanted to surprise them soon, and I haven't even said anything to you about it."
"You're pregnant?!"
"What? No. Jesus. I wouldn't be drinking if I were pregnant, idiot." I leaned forward, slapping her arm.
"Oh, yeah, true. What is it, then? Is it good? Fun? Naughty?"
"I've been preparing myself for...for... both of them." I could feel my cheeks reddening. The months had gone by and our poly relationship had been progressing nicely. We all seemed just to fit together. The one thing we hadn't done was something I had been researching. Double-penetration. I'd been with them both at the same time, we'd definitely explored all the positions that worked, except that.
"Wait.. both of them?" Her face contorted in confusion, which led to a laughing fit by both of us.
"I'm serious. You know, both of them. Double-penetration." I waggled my brows.
"Ohhhh. You nasty girl." We both cackled. I nearly choked on my wine. We were clearly drunk and loving every minute of it.
"I'm serious. I've been training myself."
"Training yourself? What? How the hell do you do that?"
"Butt plugs."
Carrie snorted, choked, and then spit the wine out across the couch all over us. We both jumped up, moving blankets and glasses, trying to clean up the mess while stumbling around.
"Butt plugs? Really?" She questioned as we finished taking care of the mess.
"Yes. I did some research, and I'm getting everything ready so I can, so we can all be together."
"I guess it's just different because I'm not into the penis. I mean, I like things and all but not back there." She cackled like a hyena.
"I never thought about it before and I never thought I would, but I want to feel them both. I want us all to be together as one. I love them, Carrie. I want it to be this intense, love-making experience that's overwhelming in the best way."
"Well, when you put it like that, I feel like a cunt." She sighed before pouting. "I'm so glad you three are making this work. They're so damn crazy over you. It's beautiful."
Carrie was my best friend, my sister and I thanked the universe every day for our friendship, for her, and for nights like tonight. Just talking about our lives, our happiness, our worries, and our adventures. It meant everything. We spent the next few hours alternating between gushing about love to laughing at ourselves before we eventually just passed out cuddled up together on the couch.
