"I'm so sorry," I felt terrible for having sent Wade rushing out of the apartment. The damn alcohol was messing with my head. Under normal circumstances, I would never spill someone's secrets like that. Even to their own friends.

"It's fine. I'm cool with it. Wade's just worried about what you'll think about him now. I guarantee it."

"Hello?! I'm right here. How have I not known this?" Carrie slurred. She was quick to throw back a few glasses of wine and was well on her way to drunk.

"I don't know. It hasn't come up, not until tonight." Grant stared at me when he spoke, which prompted Carrie to glance between the two of us.

"Oh fuck, what happened? This is getting juicy!"

I sat with my eyes down, feeling guilty for causing such a disturbance this evening. Maybe I should have just gone home with Ben, then everyone would've gone on their normal way without secrets being spilled and friendships being tested.

"I don't know if I should say anything else. Wade is already pretty pissed at me."

"Which is why you might as well spill it; he's already mad." Carrie laughed, getting comfortable on the couch.

"I need another beer for this." While Grant went to retrieve said beer and a pit stop in the bathroom, Carrie glared me down.

"What?" I threw my hands up dramatically.

"You're a dirty little minx." She bumped her shoulder into mine. "Watching me through the window and now over here trying out two guys at once." Her laugh was ridiculous, and I couldn't help but start to laugh as well. I was a lightweight.

"Ok, ready for story time?!" Grant startled us when he came back into the room, sending us into another fit of giggles before we both gave him all of our focus.

"While in college, Wade and I were at a frat party for one of his buddies. He met a chick he was into, and I met a chick I was into. Separately. Nothing happened that night. He took her on a few dates; I took her on a few dates. Eventually, we found out we were both dating the same girl. We weren't exclusive or anything, but it was still weird. We called her over to our dorm one night to talk about which of us she wanted to continue to date. She came over, was all upset that she couldn't choose and next thing I knew, we were kissing then she was kissing Wade and we were all going at it at the same time."

I sat on the edge of my seat, trying to imagine the scene he was painting with his words. I couldn't imagine Wade participating. Grant, of course, with his flirty personality, it just seemed to fit. I felt an odd sense of jealousy as well that this woman got to experience Wade and Grant. Though that part was new.

"Are. You. Fucking. Serious?" Carrie whisper shouted.

"Why are you whispering?" He laughed. "Yes, I'm serious. We had a threesome that night. It was amazing. We didn't discuss anything specific, but after that night, we kind of just continued what we were doing. Wade would take her out some nights; I'd take her out some nights, and then some nights we all would hang out."

"How long did this go on?" I asked.

"A few months. She ended up transferring to another school, so we ended it, had she not done that, who knows." He sat with a slight smile, thinking of the memories.

"Wow."

"Did you two... You know, touch and do things?" Carrie asked.

"No!" He chuckled. "Not into dudes, definitely not into Wade. I dunno, when you're in the heat of the moment, things just work out, I guess."

"There are so many things wrong with the whole idea of that."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Grant seemed offended.

"You're her boss, best friend to Wade, who is also interested in her and the big boss's son! That's just a recipe for messy as hell, but fuck, sounds pretty hot too." Carrie threw her head back, laughing as I quietly took the wine glass from her.

"Hello? I'm right here in the room." I waved at them both, feeling the room start to spin a little. "Whoa. Probably should stop the drinking too."

"Alright, last call. No more booze for you lightweights." Grant laughed. Carrie hopped up to use the restroom, leaving a spot open for Grant to settle in next to me.

"I hope I'm not making you uncomfortable, Quinn. I won't lie and say that I'm not insanely attracted to you. I have been since the first day I saw you. Getting to know you, working with you, it's only intensified those feelings." I couldn't process what I was hearing. I sat in total shock, listening to his words. "I know Wade is interested in you, and I can tell you're interested in him, so I've kept it to myself."

One too many beers lead to bad decisions or perhaps gives you the courage to do something you'd never do normally. It was still undecided which one of these categories I fell into, but before Grant could finish speaking, I was crashing my lips onto his.
