i swiped away the sweat from my brow as i placed the last flower on the arch.

i stepped back and saw the said arch in all it's beauty. my friends and i were decorating the venue for the wedding we've been planning for years.

with all the earth kingdom chaos, we've barely had time to plan anything. but we finally got around to it.

jiang didn't want another wedding on air temple island but he found a beautiful lake in the forest that'd be perfect for the venue.

i've only been here once or twice in my life and it's changed a lot since i was a kid.

the arch is on the end of the dock, which is pretty short. and then all the guests chairs are on the green grass surrounded by huge oak trees.

it used to be just trees and no plain to place chairs or tables but korra and i were able to move some of the trees that had a good amount of water in them.

it took forever though. plants is the worst part of waterbending. some of the trees, bolin and jiang replanted them by earthbending them out by the root.

all our friends and family were here decorating the tables and adding some ribbons and string lights to the trees.

as i stood on the dock, looking at the arch decor to see it from afar, korra came up behind me and handed me a glass of iced water.

her hair was up in a clip and she was wearing a tank top and sweats.

"thank you!" i smiled before taking a sip.

"you did a great job." she said.

"yeah, no thanks to sleeping beauty." i looked over at bo, who was taking a nap on the chairs that are supposed to be for guests.

"eh, i don't think he would have done that great of a job anyways." she shrugged.

i laughed quietly before taking another sip.

korra looks back at me. "what do you think our wedding will be like?"

"i don't know. has there ever been a wedding with three brides?" i asked.

"no. but we can be the first." she shrugged.

i smiled. i looked over where asami was helping set up tables for the food and such.

"i don't know. i think i can do without planning a wedding for the next couple of years." i sighed.

"ugh, i know. but i'm kind of tired of flowers, how's a.." she glances at the environment. "forest theme sound?"

"sure." i shrugged.

"ugh, i'm so smart. i don't know why you complain about wedding planning so much."

i shook my head slightly. if only she knew.

"where's asami?" i asked after laughing a bit.

"oh, she's up there." she pointed to asami on top of a ladder, decorating a tree's branches with dark blue ribbon with pema at the bottom holding the ladder.

i looked down from the tree when i saw jiang walking toward us.

"hey, guys." jiang said as he came up to us.

i smiled. "hi."

"the arch looks really great, y/n, i love how you organized the colors." he said as he pointed to the decorations.

"aw, thank you." i nodded. i looked at him closely.

remember when i said jiang is unconventionally attractive? like he doesn't fit in social norms but he's still gorgeous anyways?
