𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞

it's been about a year of going through the process of getting pregnant and doctor appointments and we just found out yesterday that asami's pregnant.

and we're spending the saturday afternoon telling everyone we know.

right now we were on our way to tell tenzin and pema's family. we called them beforehand and let them know we had a surprise for them.

no one suspects a thing because we've had so many failed attempts before where we thought we were pregnant but she actually wasn't.

but now we know for sure and we couldn't be happier about it!

i swear, i almost blabbed to my brothers after i found out because they were just as excited as us to find out if we'd be having a kid or not.

but we agreed parents first and since korra's are in the south pole, we're gonna tell tenzin and pema and then go down to the water tribe and tell them in person. we don't know what day but soon, for sure.

we arrived on the island when the sun was at it's peak, the middle of the day, and the family was there on the docks greet us.

jinora's almost grown up now, nineteen. ikki's the bubbliest and happiest sixteen year old girl i ever met and meelo..

he's the same he's always been, just with teen boy hormones mixed in.

rohan's a little distinguished gentleman now. and also a little weird. he's obsessed with animals, always feels the need to tell me facts about them.

it's honestly sweet.

jinora and ikki were the first to greet us and they ran to hug me.

"oh, i missed you guys so much!" i laughed out. i pull away to look at them clearly.

"oh my god, girl, look at this hair! it's gorgeous, look at the length." i squealed, looking at jinora's shiny long brown hair.

"thanks, i took your advice and used coconut oil." she smiled, stroking a lock of it in her hand.

"see? i told you. big sister knows best, right?" i winked at pema and she rolled her eyes.

"so what's the surprise? you having a wedding? finally?" pema asked with rohan's shy self standing next to her.

he's nine now, i think, but still as shy as when he was a toddler.

"oh, come on. the celebration dinner wasn't enough?" i joked. i go over and hug her tightly. i haven't seen her in months because i've been busy taking care of asami.

i pull away and hold her hands. "come on, we'll tell y'all inside over some tea?"

"of course, come on." she nods her head and asami, korra and i follow them into the temple and to the dining room.

i sat beside jinora, who sat beside ikki.

"how are you and kai? you two okay?" i asked jinora.

"we're great. he actually just got me this ring for my birthday about a month ago." she held out her hand to show me a silver band on her ring finger with a blue sapphire stone.

i gasp at the ring and look up at her. "aw, it's beautiful. that's so sweet of him."

"yeah, it is. i wanna see him but he's with opal , volunteering in shelters in earth kingdom cities." she said.

"oh, okay." i murmured in response. pema and asami come back with tea for most of everyone and they sit down.

"alright so, why'd you come down here? what's the surprise you've been buzzing about?" tenzin asked.
